AP EDCET (B.Ed) 2014 Results and Rank Cards

  • The Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (EdCET) has been conducted on 30 May, 2014.
  • The final answer keys have been published by AU on 13 June, 2014.

How to check EdCET result 2014

The result will only be declared online. Candidates will need to log in to download rank card. The EdCET 2014 rank card shall contain all the result details for the candidate. AP EdCET 2014 result can be checked here and on the following pages.

AP B.Ed Seats and colleges

There are 584 B.Ed colleges in Andhra Pradesh with an intake capacity of 63428 seats. All the candidates who pass with the minimum qualifying marks can get admission in one of the B.Ed colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

QUALIFYING MARKS: The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) is 37 out of total marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.

RANKING: Candidates will be ranked in each methodology in the order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in Ed.CET-2014 examination. Where there is a tie in total marks, Part-C marks will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of further tie, the marks obtained in Part-A will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the parts of the test paper, they shall be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank. At the time of admission into the course, age shall be taken into consideration for relative ranking among the bracketed candidatets and the older candidates shall be given priority. The rank obtained in Ed.CET-2014 is valid for entry into B.Ed. course for the academic year 2014-2015 only.
