ISI 2017 Application Form is now available online at the ISI Kolkata website www.isical.ac.in. It is important to fill up the form and submit it before the last date in order to appear for the ISI Entrance Test 2017. Even those candidates who are exempted from the entrance exam (INMO Awardees) should also submit the application form of ISI Admission 2017.

ISI 2017 Admit Card will be generated after successful form submission. Candidate should download and keep safely the admit card of ISI Entrance Test 2017 and carry it on the day of exam.

ISI 2017 Result of  the ISI Entrance Test will be announced for few courses and Interviews will be announced officially. Students who appeared for the admission test and interviews, or applied on the basis of INMO, should be able to check the ISI Results for admission 2017-2018 at the website of ISI Kolkata Admissions isical.ac.in.

ISI Selected Candidates for Interview 2017

On the basis of performance in Admission Test held on 14 May 2017, the following candidates have been shortlisted for interview at Indian Statistical Institute, North-East Centre at Tezpur, for final selection for admission to the Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics programme, 2017-2018, subject to submission and verification of the domicile status certificate.

ISI 2017 Admission Details – Programmes, Eligibility, Stipend

For all the programmes described below, those who have completed or are due to complete the qualifying examinations for which results are not yet published, may also apply for admission. If selected, their admission to a course or fellowship will be provisional pending the announcement of results. In such cases, however, their applications may be cancelled if the final examinations are not completed before July 31, 2017.

  1. B Stat (Hons): an applicant must have successfully completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects. (Offered at Kolkata)
  2. B Math (Hons): Successful completion of Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subjects. Stipend ₹ 3000/- per month (Offered at Bengaluru).
  3. M Stat: 3‐year Bachelor’s degree or a BE/B Tech degree with Statistics as a subject, or B Math Degree from ISI, or PG Diploma in Statistical Methods with Applications from ISI. Stipend ₹ 5000/- per month (Offered at Delhi and Chennai).
  4. M Math: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a three year Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, or a BE/B Tech Degree, with Mathematics as a subject, or a B Stat degree from ISI. (Offered at Bengaluru)
  5. Master of Science (MS) in Quantitative Economics:In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics, or a B Stat degree from ISI, or a BE/ B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE). (Offered at Kolkata and Delhi).
  6. Master of Science (MS) in Quality Management Science: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject, or a BE/ B Tech degree. (Offered at Bengaluru and Hyderabad).
  7. Master of Science (MS) in Library and Information Science: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Offered at Bengaluru).
  1. M Tech in Computer Science: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a Master’s degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics/ Electronic Science/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology, or a BE/ B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE or, GRAD-IETE or, DOEACC ’B’ Level).
  2. M Tech in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research:In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have (i) a Master’s Degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or (ii) a Master’s Degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or a BE/B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE).
  3. PG Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics:In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a domicile certificate of North-Eastern states from a recognised authority, and has one of the following: a three-year Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject; a BE/B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE).
  4. PG Diploma in Computer Applications: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a three-year Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject.

Junior Research Fellowship JRF

(a) Statistics: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have an M Stat degree from ISI, or an MA/M Sc or equivalent degree in Statistics, or a B Stat/B Math degree from ISI with outstanding maturity in Statistics, or a BA/B Sc, BE/B Tech or equivalent degree with Statistics as a subject and outstanding maturity in Statistics.

(b) Mathematics: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have an M Stat/ M Math degree from ISI, or an MA/ M Sc or equivalent degree in Mathematics, or an ME/ M Tech degree or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject, or a B Stat/ B Math degree from ISI with outstanding maturity in Mathematics, or a BA/ B Sc, BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree with Mathematics as a subject and outstanding maturity in Mathematics.

(c) Quantitative Economics: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have an MS(QE)/ M Stat degree from ISI, or an MA/ M Sc or equivalent degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Economics/ Econometrics, or a BA/ B Sc degree with Economics as a subject, and outstanding maturity in Mathematics, or a BE/ B Tech degree with Economics and Mathematics/ Statistics as subjects.

(d) Computer Science: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have an ME/ M Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Radio Physics/ Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Microwave Communications/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject, or an M Sc/ MCA/ MA or equivalent degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronic Sciences/ Computer Science/ Atmospheric Science/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the graduate level, or a BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree in the above subjects with outstanding maturity in relevant subjects.

(e) Quality, Reliability & Operations Research: In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have an M Tech/ ME/ MS/ M Phil or equivalent degree in Quality/ Reliability/ Operations Research, or an M Stat/ M Sc/ MA or equivalent degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/Physics with Mathematics as a subject at the graduate level, or a BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree in the above subjects with outstanding maturity in relevant subjects.

ISI 2016 Final Result

Candidates can check last year list of candidates who are selected for admission to the various courses, at Indian Statistical Institute, subject to satisfying the eligibility criteria and being found medically fit by the Institute’s Medical Officer. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examinations but the results are not yet declared will be admitted provisionally and their provisional admission will be confirmed on receipt of evidence of their passing the qualifying exam.
