Rajasthan Pre Medial Test (RPMT) 2014
Centralized admissions to different Medical and Dental colleges in Rajasthan for the session 2014-15 shall be made in the following courses:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) The duration of MBBS course is 41/2 years followed by internship of one year.
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) The course is divided into 4 years of training and 1 year compulsory rotatory internship.

RPMT 2014 Seats
RPMT-2014 will be conducted for 85% seats in Govt. Medical/Dental colleges of Rajasthan; and 85% seats in Private colleges who have opted to fill the seats in the respective colleges through RPMT-2014, as per the rules and regulations laid down by RUHS and Govt. of Rajasthan. The total number of seats in Government / Private Medical and Dental Colleges will be finalized and notified by the time of allotment process.
RPMT 2014 Other Important Information
The computer based admission test is likely to be conducted on-line (at the examination center) on 28.05.2014, 29.05.2014 and 30.05.2014 in multiple sessions. The details of the admission test will be made available at RUHS website in due course.
There shall be 200 objective type questions (50 questions each of 1. Physics, 2. Chemistry, 3. Botany & Zoology) of 4 marks each. Each question shall have four options to answer. There shall be no negative marking.
All candidates are required to appear in the admission test at their own expenses. No TA/DA will be paid the purpose. The appearance in the admission test will not confer any right upon the candidate to be admitted to medical / dental course.
Candidates trying to use unfair means shall be disqualified from the admission. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the candidates.
The RUHS reserves the right to create cities / centre(s) for RPMT-2014 and also to call the candidates for the RPMT-2014 at any city / centre., other than the one opted in the on-line application form.
Entry of 10+2 Result
Candidates who are presently under “result awaited” category or are under “supplementary” category will be required to update their result at the RUHS website by the notified date, by entering through their login ID and password failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled.
The selection of students to a Medical College shall be based solely on the merit of the candidate through RPMT-2014 except for the candidates belonging to the categories of sub clause ‘a’ & ‘b’ of the clause-4 and reservation and priority-cum merit through RPMT-2014 for the category of the clause -4 reservation.
The eligible passed candidates in the RPMT-2014 will be admitted in the order of merit for the general as well as reserved seats excepting the seats belonging to the category of the sub-clause ‘d’ of clause-4 in which case it would be priority- cum-merit.
Candidates securing equal marks in the RPMT-2014 will be admitted in the following order of preference:
- One who has secured more marks in the science subjects of 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examination.
- One who has passed in lesser number of attempts.
- One who has secured more marks in Secondary examination or its equivalent examination.
- The candidate of higher age (older candidate).
Guidelines for PH candidates as per MCI guidelines: The Locomotor Disabled (LD) candidates are required to bring their treatment papers related to their disability, including the investigation reports, at the time of reporting to the medical board.
The candidate will have to get the certificate signed by the Medical Board for the purpose from the Govt. medical colleges of the state only. No other certificate signed by any other person will be acccepted for eligibiity for PH category seats. The qualified locomotors disabled candidates of the qualified ranks announced in the RPMT-2014 result (to be published after the entrance examination) should get themselves certified at one of the Disability Boards constituted in Govt. Medical College of the state.
Guidelines for defence and paramilitary candidates as per MCI guidelines (WDP and WPP): Candidates desirous of availing defence and paramilitary quota and who are declared qualified, shall be required to report for verification of certificates by the Admission Board on a specified date and time, at a specified place.
Guidelines for ST-STA (state tribal area) candidates as per MCI guidelines: Candidates belonging to ST-STA (state tribal area) who are declared qualified shall be required to report for verification of certificates by the Admission Board on a specified date and time, at a specified place.
The selected candidates will be required to undergo medical examination at the Institutions on the notified date(s).
Provided that if any candidate is not able to report for Medical Examination at the Institution on the notified date on medical grounds or due to some other circumstances beyond his/her control and his/her parent/guardian comes in person on his/her behalf for verification of the original certificates to the college he/she will be considered for provisional admission. His / Her formal admission will be confirmed only when he/she is found medically fit and fulfils other requirements before the date of commencement of the class.
Candidates who fail to attend medical examination on the notified date are liable to forfeit the claim for admission and will not be considered eligible for 2nd round.
All selected candidates will be examined by the Medical Board, appointed by the Principal of the respective Medical Colleges, at the Medical college allotted to the students on the basis of criteria evolved for the Medical examination by the Principal regarding their general and physical fitness. The candidates found unsuitable will be rejected. The decision of the Medical Board in this respect will be final.
The non-viewing of the RUHS website about allotment information by the candidate shall not be accepted as a ground for non-reporting at the allotted college on the scheduled time and date. The candidate’s allotment will stand automatically cancelled if he/she does not report IN PERSON to the allotted college as per the notified schedule.
For private medical and dental college one week time will be given for bank guarantee. If candidate does not deposit the amount of bank guarantee at the college within a week then the seat will be allotted to next candidate and 25% of fees will be forfeited and remaining amount will be returned to the candidate.
If at any stage, it is found that a non-eligible candidate is admitted to a course, then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled on such detection. A penal action may also be initiated against such candidate.
The selection for this admission will be cancelled if the selected candidates do not report to join the classes on the stipulated date or whose particulars are not found correct or who are not found medically fit.
The candidates must present the accepted resignation from the intuition he/ she is pursing studies (at present) at the time of reporting. Failure to do so will result in disqualification for admission.
