WBJEE EVETS 2015

EVETS 2015 – The Joint Entrance Examination for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in West Bengal for the academic session 2014-15 will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015.

Candidates who wish to appear in the EVETS 2015 examination must fill the online application form released at www.wbresults.co.in / www.wbjeeb.in. Fee for BVSc & AH entrance exam is Rs 506. In case candidate wishes to appear in both EVETS and JENPARH, the fee to be paid is Rs 1006.

WBJEE EVETS 2015

WBJEEB EVETS 2015 Application Form – Application form of EVETS 2015 will be available at the official website of the board from 21st April to 10th May, 2015. Candidates must fill correct information in the form after determining eligibility.

Candidates may please note that insofar only the above notification has been published. Further details of EVETS 2015 eligibility, reservation, results and admit cards will be known once the information brochure is issued. Given below this line are details as per last year’s information brochure and is only for reference of candidates. As soon as the official information brochure is published, details will be updated.

EVETS 2015 Examination Pattern

Last year’s exam pattern of EVETS was as follows.

A written test was conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for EVETS.

  • Paper 1 – Biological Science of 100 marks.
  • Paper 2 – Physics and Chemistry of 100 marks.

All the questions were Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and were to be answered on OMR Answer Sheet in black/blue ball pen.

EVETS Eligibility Criteria

Given below is the qualification details and domicile details as per last year’s EVETS. This information will be shortly updated. Candidates can get an idea of the eligibility criteria by going through the details here.

Educational Qualification

General Candidates must have passed H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination (10+2).

For SC and ST candidates the aforesaid percentage of marks will be 40% instead of 50%.

N.B.

Only Mathematics or Statistics or Mechanics will be considered as additional subjects in H.S. (10+2) level (W.B.C.H.S.E.) in General Stream.

Residential Criteria

Candidates must have been residing in the State of West Bengal for a minimum period of 10 (ten) years uninterruptedly as on 31 December or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in the State of West Bengal.

Residential certificate in this regard shall have to be produced in the proforma as printed in the Application Form for EVETS from any of the competent Authorities as mentioned below. No separate supporting documents or residential certificate in any other form will be accepted along with the filled in application form.

WBJEE EVETS Reservations

Last year the reservation was as follows.

  • SC – 22%
  • ST – 6 %
  • PH – 3%

As the reservation of Physically Challenged candidates in on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category i.e. General SC and ST to which candidates belong.

WBJEE EVETS Admissions and Counselling Process

Last year’s admission process was as follows.

It should be noted that the Board is in no way responsible for admission to the Institutions and the candidates have to comply with the criteria required eligibility for admission to West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. The Board only provides the merit list of the Entrance Examination to the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, who conducts the admission process. All applicants who appear to be prima-facie eligible are provisionally permitted to sit for the Entrance Examination. If after scrutiny at any stage, it is found that an applicant is otherwise ineligible, his/her candidature will automatically be cancelled even if he / she has appeared at the examination and secured a position in the merit list.

At the time of admission a candidate shall be required to produce the original mark sheets of all the examinations passed along with the admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination (as the proof of his / her age) for the purpose of verification. Counselling for admission : After publication of merit list, the successful candidates must take detailed information from the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, 68 & 37, Kshudiram Bose Sarani, Kolkata -700 037 (Ph. No. 033 2558-0278 and website) for counselling and Admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.). The said application form for counselling will be available from the office of the the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, 68 & 37, Kshudiram Bose Sarani, Kolkata -700 037. (Ph. The information will be circulated broadly in due course of time by the competent authority. The SC/ST candidates have to produce the original caste certificate at the time of counselling for admission.
