National Testing Agency (NTA) has started online registration for JEE Main 2020 April attempt. Candidates can apply from jeemain.nta.nic.in, until March 06, 2020. It is very important to submit the application form in prescribed format because only then NTA will issue admit card. However, every year, candidates make few common mistakes, due to which the application form is not accepted. So, here are 5 common mistakes which you must avoid while filling JEE Main 2020 application form.
#1. Entering incorrect name
No matter how silly it sounds, every year, numerous candidates enter their name incorrectly in the application form. It is important to note that the candidates have to mention their name, that matches with valid id proof and class 10 and 12 certificates.
#2. Not uploading images in correct format
Another common reason for rejection of the application form is, incorrectly uploaded images. In the application form of JEE Main 2020, candidates need to upload:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Class 12 admit card / marksheet / certificate

#3. Selecting Incorrect JEE Main Paper
In the application form, candidates have to select correct paper that they want to appear for in the exam. Candidates are allowed to appear for anyone paper, ant 2 papers or all the 3 papers. They have to select their paper accordingly. The JEE Main 2020 papers are:
- B.E / B.Tech
- B.Arch
- B.Planning
#4. Not checking eligibility criteria
At times, candidates fill the application form without checking the eligibility criteria. However, the admission is only granted to the eligible candidates. Hence, it is important for the candidates to ensure that they are eligible for the examination. The eligibility for JEE Main 2020 is as follows:
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 / equivalent in the year 2019, or 2018.
- Candidates appearing for class 12th examination in the year 2020 are also eligible.

#5. Missing the deadline
Once the deadline to submit JEE Main 2020 application form ends, the candidates cannot apply. Hence, it is very important for the candidates submit the form before the lapse of the deadline.
- Last date to apply for JEE Main 2020 – 06 March 2020.
- Last date to submit the application fee – 07 March 2020.
Also take care to review application form before final submission: Note that the application form must be thoroughly checked before the final submission. There are 2 times when NTA asks the candidates to reveiw their application form. First after filling the registration form and second after filling the application form. Thus candidates must review their forms both the times and then make payment of the application fee.
