Andhra University Distance Education 2020 Eligibility
Before applying, candidates must check the eligibility for each course from the table given below.
Eligibility for B.A/B.Com
- 18 years of age as on July 01, 2020 is mandatory.
- Candidate must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board.
- Candidate must qualify the entrance exam conducted by the university for admission in UG distance education courses.
Eligibility for Executive MBA
- Candidate must have a bachelors degree in a discipline in which candidate wants to apply for postgraduate programme.
- Candidate must have two (2) year of work experience in any organisation after completing graduation.
- Candidates with five (5) years of experience can get into the course without any entrance test.
Eligibility for MJMC
- Candidate must have Bachelor degree in Journalism.
- Candidate must qualify the entrance exam conducted by the university for admission in MJMC course.
Eligibility for MA/M.Sc Mathematics
- Candidate must have passed B.A. or B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects of study in order to apply for MA/M.Sc Mathematics.
Eligibility for M.Com
- Candidate must have passed bachelors degree other than BFA and BA (OL).
Eligibility for MA – English and Literature
- Candidate must have passed B.A. or B.Sc. or B.Com or B.A.(O.L) or B.F.A. or B.A.L
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations of other Universities which are recognised by Andhra University under 10 +2 + 3 or 11 + 2 + 3 or 11 + 2 + 2 pattern of education are only eligible for admission.
Eligibility for MA – Hindi
- Candidate must have passed bachelors degree in Arts, Science, or commerce with Hindi as one of the subject or
- Any degree without hindi as a subject but having a diploma such as Sahitya Ratna, Bhasha Praveena or Vidwan or equivalent.
Eligibility for MA – Telugu
- Candidate must have passed B.A. or B.Sc. or B. Com. with Telugu as subject or
- B.A. Oriental Learing or Bhasha Praveena with B.A. or B.Com. of Andhra University
Eligibility for MA – Economics
- Candidate must have passed B.A. Degree (pass or Hons. or Special) with Economics as one of the subject.
Eligibility for MA – History
- Candidate must have qualified B.A. Degree (pass or Hons. or Special) with History as one of the subjects.
Eligibility for other PG courses
- Candidate must have a bachelors degree in the same area in which candidate wants to pursue PG course.
Eligibility for PG Diploma courses
- A bachelor degree in the respective field is a must to apply for PG Dipoma courses.
- Candidates admission is based on the merit.
Andhra University Distance Education 2020 Application Form
Candidates can download the application form from the official website, andhrauniversity.edu.in. To apply for a course or entrance exam, candidates have to fill and submit the form before the due date. School of Distance Education reserves the right to reject the application if the application is incomplete, not signed, documents are not affixed, false information provided and the application received after the last date.

Andhra University Distance Education 2020 Selection Procedure
Candidates are required to fill the application form, make the payment of the application fee, appear for the entrance exam and await for the result to get into the programme of their choice in distance learning.
The admission into two year MBA is subject to eligibility and merit in the admission test. Candidate must have appeared for State-wide Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by APSCHE or the test conducted by the School of Distance Education, Andhra University and secured the qualifying marks.
Admission in all other courses is based on the candidate’s merit in the entrance exam and fulfiment of eligibility standards.
Andhra University Distance Education 2020 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for the common entrance test for different courses is given below.
B.A. and B.Com Exam Pattern
- Medium of Test: English and Telugu.
- Pattern : The test contains two papers. Paper 1 contains General English, General Knowledge and Aptitude. Paper 2 contains Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu or Oriya.
- Duration of Exam: Each paper consist of one (1) hour.
- Type of Questions: All the questions are multiple choice or objective based.
- Number of Questions:There are a total number of 50 questions in each paper
- Total Marks: Each paper contains 100 marks.

- Sections: The question paper consists of three (3) sections. Part A consist of General English. Part B consist of General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude and Part C consist of Methodology Subject.
- Marks: Each question carries one (1) mark. Therefore, the test is of total number of 150 marks.

MBA and MCA Exam Pattern
- Medium of Test: English and Telugu.
- Sections : The test contains three sections and which are Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability.
- Duration of Exam: MBA and MCA entrance exam is a total of 2.5 hour (150 minutes) examination.
- Type of Questions: All the questions are multiple choice or objective based.
- Number of Questions:There are a total number of 200 questions in each paper
- Marking Scheme: Candidates are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer.
- Total Marks: The test is of 200 marks in total.

Andhra University Distance Education 2020 Admit Card
Admit card or Hall ticket is the entrance ticket to the examination hall. Candidates has to collect the hall ticket from the Chief Superintendent of the chosen examination centre three days before the commencement of the examination. Failure to carry hall ticket to the exam centre leads to cancellation of the candidate’s entry to examination hall.

About Andhra University
Andhra University is one of the oldest and first residential and teaching-cum-affiliating University. It was established in the year 1926. The University was established under the state legislature and approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC).
