Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam 2017 is scheduled to be held from 20 to 23 April 2017 as computer based test; on 29 April 2017 as pen-and-paper based test.

Application form submission for AEEE 2017 to start on Thursday, 1 December. This date onwards, you can fill in and submit application form for the entrance exam. Forms will be available in offline mode as well as online. Before hurrying over to apply, read the eligibility conditions first.

Last date to submit AEEE 2017 forms has been extended till 08 April 2017. Keep in mind that you should definitely complete all formalities related to submitting of the application form before this date. Any form of late application shall not be entertained.

AEEE 2017 engineering entrance exam can be taken by all applicants in April. You need to carry officially issued hall tickets on exam day. Date of exam are:- Thursday, 20 April to Sunday, 23 April (computer based test); Saturday, 29 April (pen-and-paper based test).

Amrita University will announce AEEE 2017 exam results on Friday, 5 May. Immediately after publishing results, the University will notify dates for counselling and process for the same. Candidates who wish to partake in the counselling process for admissions can note them then.

AEEE 2017 is for 10+2 candidates who fulfill eligibility conditions

You need to have cleared class 12 exam with at least 60% in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Also the marks in each of these subjects should be at least 55%.

Otherwise, even if you have passed 3 year Diploma in Engineering with 60% marks then you are eligible also.

It is compulsory to appear for Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam AEEE 2017 if you wish to get B.Tech Admission in the university.

After the university declares results of the AEEE 2017 there will be counselling. To put it another way, all those with ranks in AEEE 2017 can attend counselling session and opt for branches of their choice. During counselling the university will see candidate’s rank, eligibility fulfillment by verifying documents, and offer admission in available seats. Overall it is a merit based admission process.

As per media reports, more than 30000 students apply for the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam every year. Hence one should be well prepared to compete for engineering seats on basis of AEEE 2017.

Preparation for Amrita University’s AEEE 2017 can be in tune with other engineering entrance exams

This is an important point you can note.

You may already be preparing for engineering entrance exams such as the JEE Main and JEE Advanced. AEEE 2017 preparation can go hand in hand with that. All you need to do is keep in mind the syllabus and exam pattern of AEEE 2017.

Broadly, AEEE 2017 is looked forward to have questions on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. There are expected to be 40 questions on Math and 30 each on Physics and Chemistry. The syllabus is as prescribed in official information brochure and largely contains topics you studied in classes 11 and 12. However keep in mind during exam that there is negative marking for wrong answers; so mark answers carefully.

AEEE 2017 can be taken as computer-based-test or pen-and-paper based test

Both modes of exam are available for you. You can opt for any as per convenience and preference.

Note however that AEEE 2017 pen-and-paper based test will only be held at Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala. Whereas computer-based-test will be in several cities all across India.

Prior to appearing for the computer-based-test you need to book test date. Slot booking for AEEE 2017 needs to be done on time. The university will allot slots on first come first serve basis. Hence it is strongly advised that you select a date when it will be most convenient for you to take the engineering entrance exam.

Apply for AEEE 2017 before 31 March 08 April

Amrita University is releasing online and OMR application forms on 1 December 2016.

You can apply for AEEE 2017 in either mode as per feasibility. In either case make sure that you complete the whole procedure before the last date. Last date to apply for AEEE 2017 has been extended till 08 April 2017.

Within the window for application form submission you must do following:-

  • Access online application form / get OMR application form.
  • Enter all details in the AEEE 2017 application form correctly. Check that all details are verifiable against official documents. During verification of documents all your data must match.
  • Pay application fee against application form of Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam 2017.
  • Submit form.

  • In the first session counselling, SC / ST candidates with ranks up to 20,000 are called.
  • General quota (state and open both) candidates who have obtained rank up to 6000 are then to appear for admission counselling.
  • State quota candidates from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu with rank till 18000 came for first counselling.
  • At the end of first counselling following seats were vacant last year:- 45 open-Amritapuri campus, 28 state-Amritapuri campus; 85 open-Bengaluru campus, 29 state-Bengaluru campus; 53 open-proposed campus, 91 state-proposed campus. All seats got filled in Amrita University Coimbatore campus after first counselling only.
