AFMC PG Counselling 2017 for allocation of subjects
Counseling is held online, Priority wise as per merit – cum – choice. Candidates will log in to their AFMS account and make their choices.
Online counseling for Priority I is followed by all other priorities. All priorities will have three rounds of counseling. Vacancies remaining after filling of the seats by the service officers and foreign sponsored candidates will ONLY be available for allotment to other categories. These seats will be filled in order of Priority and merit secured by the candidates.
Eligibility of candidates will be the responsibility of the candidate themselves as per the criteria mentioned in the Information Bulletin. He / She should check his / her eligibility for Priority/Institution/Subject before participating in the counseling process.
The candidates who have been issued the admission letter shall produce all the originals of certificates for verification as applicable. Candidates without documents in original at the time of admission will not be eligible for admission to the college even if he / she have got the necessary merit. However in case any candidate has deposited the original with any other institution, it is mandatory to produce a certificate from the Dean / Head of the institution where he is presently admitted certifying the same, and the candidate may be permitted to attend the admission process with attested photocopies of the certificates along with the deposit certificate as mentioned above. If the candidate has accepted a seat, then it will be mandatory for the candidate to submit all original documents within three (3) working days of the date of admission failing which allotment of seat will stand cancelled.
Counselling Schedule – Priority V (II)
Further to our notice dated 08 May 2017 on AFMS PG Counselling for Priority-V, it is intimated that second round of counselling for PG seats for Priority-V candidates will be conducted on 29 May 2017 at 1000h at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. Only those Priority-V candidates who have reported to the counselling committee at AFMC Pune on 18 May 2017 and have not taken any seat during the counselling are eligible for the said counselling.
Following instructions pertaining to counseling will be adhered to by eligible candidates reporting for counseling:-
- Date of Counseling: 29 May 2017 (Monday)
- Venue: Dhanvantri Auditorium, Armed Forces Medical College, Pune
- Time of reporting of candidates: 0930h.
- Allotment will be made strictly on a merit cum choice basis for balance of Seats.

All eligible candidates will have to be present IN PERSON along with the following documents in ORIGINAL which will have to be deposited on acceptance of seat during counseling:-
- 06 (Six) Passport size photographs
- Copy of the NEET PG-2017 Admit card
- Printed copy of the AFMS online application form.
- NEET PG-2017 score card
- Domicile Certificate (where applicable)
- Class X / SSLC / ICSE certificate
- MBBS Pass Certificate/Degree Certificate
- Internship completion certificate (where applicable)
- Permanent/Provisional State or Medical Council registration certificate of the degree
- Transfer Certificate/ Migration certificate (where applicable) (xi) Attempt Certificate
- Attempt Certificate
Candidates without above documents will not be permitted to participate in the counseling. The list of available PG seats, if any, will be displayed at the time of counselling. Eligible candidates are requested to forward their willingness to participate in the counseling on the Email Id [email protected] mentioning their AFMS Candidate Id number and AFMS Rank by 27 May 2017.
Candidates allotted a subject during counseling will have to undergo Medical Examination at Armed Forces Medical College Pune itself which will take minimum of 02 days. After being declared medically fit by the duly constituted Medical Board, the candidates will be required to join the allotted institute at the earliest but not later than 31 May 2017 (1200h).
