AIIMS Fellowship 2020-2021 – AIIMS, New Delhi has released the Final Result for Fellowship Programme. The exam was held on 20 November 2020 for January 2021 session admissions. AIIMS Fellowship is a national level exam conducted twice a year for admission in January and July sessions. To apply for admission, candidates have to fill the application form at aiimsexams.org. Admission to candidates is made through a 2-stage evaluation process i.e written test and departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment. To appear for the exam, candidates must have an MD/MS Postgraduate degree and fulfill other eligibility criteria. AIIMS Fellowship 2021
Candidates who wish to study Fellowship Programme have to have to fulfil the eligibility criteria, fill the application form, and score more than the cut-off. Candidates can check the AIIMS Fellowship 2021 schedule from below.

AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Result
AIIMS Fellowship result is released twice. First, it is released after stage one (1) and then after stage two (2). Candidates who qualify stage one are called for stage two. After the declaration of Stage 1 result, qualifiers in the written exam have to upload the scanned copies of certificates/ documents in proof of their eligibility conditions. These certificates/ documents are verified at the time of the Departmental Assessment. After Stage 2 and verification of certificate is done, a final result is published based on total marks obtained in stage-I and Stage-II Examination.

Candidates can check their individual result through the official website, aiimsexams.org. The results are not sent via post to the candidate’s address nor it is informed over a phone call. Candidates have to log in using their ID and password to check and download the result.
Method Of Resolving Ties: If two candidates secure the same marks i.e. there is a tie, then the preference in admission will be given to the elder candidate according to their date of birth.
New Exam Cities Added, and Re-Choose Cities Option Available [NEW]
In view of evolving Covid-19 outbreak the competent authority of AIIMS has decided to increase the number of cities for examination to minimize the travel need for candidates.
All eligible candidates should login & re-choose the city for examination from 29.10.2020 to 04.11.2020 by 5:00 PM. For candidates who do not choose the examination city during the above schedules, it will be assumed that their earlier choice is to be considered.
The city for examination shall be allocated on the basis of order of application form, candidates choice and availability of computer nodes. All efforts shall be made to minimize the need for travel for all candidates. City of Examination once allotted cannot be changed. Decision of AIIMS, New Delhi in this regard will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Application Form
The application form for AIIMS Fellowship 2021 entrance exam will be available on the official website, which is aiimsexams.org. Candidates can fill only one application form. It is mandatory to have a valid email id and phone number before applying for the exam as future communication is done through SMS or e-mail. Candidates can check the steps to fill the application form below.
Step 1: Click on the application form direct link provided on this page after the release of the application form.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “new registration” button as shown in image below.

Step 3: Then, provide details such as name, parent’s name, education qualification, experience details and so on.
Step 4: Moving forward, candidates have to attach the scanned image of passport size photo, signature and thumb impression.
Step 5: Thereafter, make the payment of the application form through online mode.
Application Fee: The cost of application fee includes fee for entrance examination which is non-refundable. Candidates can check the application fee from below.

AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Image Specifications
Candidates are required to upload their photograph, signature and left thumb impression in the prescribed format.
Photograph Specification
- Candidate’s photograph must be taken in a white bright background.
- The photo must be without a border and clearly shows the face, eyes and ears of a candidate.
- The standard size of the photo must be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm, width X height.
- The photograph must not be more than 6 months old.
- The format of the image must be in jpg/jpeg/gif/png as “Photograph.jpg” or “Photograph.jpeg” or “Photograph.gif” or “Photograph.png”
- The size should be between 10 to 100 Kb and scan the photograph on 200 dpi.
Signature Specification
- The signature must be done on a white plain sheet.
- The size should be between 50 to 100 Kb.
- The format of the signature must be in jpg/jpeg/gif/png.
Thumb Impression Specification
- Thumbprint lines must be visible against a white background.
- Image size should be between 50 to 100 Kb
- Supported format of the image includes jpg/jpeg/gif/png.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria from below before applying for the exam.
- Age: There is no upper age limit. However, candidates applying for AIIMS New Delhi Faculty under the Sponsorship Category must be below the age of 50 years as on the last date of online registration.
- Qualification: Candidate should have an MD/MS Postgraduate degree or other equivalent degree recognized by the MCI in respective discipline.
- Work Experience: Candidate should have three (3) years post PG teaching Experience as Senior Resident or equivalent post after obtaining the PG Degree in the concerned discipline only from an MCI recognized/permitted medical Institute/College OR
- Candidate should possess a DM/M.Ch or other Equivalent Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Exam Pattern
As per last year details!
Candidates can check the AIIMS Fellowship programme exam pattern from below.
- Mode of exam: AIIMS Fellowship entrance exam is a computer-based test i.e it is conducted online.
- Duration: The exam is of one (hour) i.e 60 minutes.
- Total number of questions: There are a total number of 60 questions in the exam.
- Type of questions: All the questions are objective-based i.e multiple-choice questions.
Marking Scheme: Candidates are given one (1) mark for every correct answer and one third (‐1/3) is deducted for every incorrect answer. No mark is given for unanswered and marked for review questions.
AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Admit Card
AIIMS Fellowship admit card is released for the candidates who have successfully registered for the entrance exam. The admit card is released online on the official website. It is not sent via post to the candidate’s address. To download it, candidates have to log in using their ID and password. Hardcopy of the admit card has to be carried by the candidate to the exam hall on the examination day. Without it, entry of the candidate is prohibited.
Steps to Download the AIIMS Fellowship Admit Card
Step 1: Candidates can click on the direct link of the admit card that shall be available on this page after the release of the admit card. On clicking the link, candidates are directed to the official website.
Step 2: On the login page, candidates have to enter candidate Id, password and captcha code that appears.
Step 3: Next, candidates can check the link to generate the admit card. Click on it.
Step 4: Thereafter, the admit card appears on the screen. Download the same in PDF format in the system and print it.
Note: In case, candidate is unable to download the admit card, he/she should write an email to the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS New Delhi-110608 on [email protected] along with full particulars of the Registration Form.
AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Selection Procedure
Candidates are selected for the Fellowship Programme through the following two stages.
Stage 1: Written Test: Candidate must secure 50% or more marks in the written test to qualify for Stage two (2).
Stage 2: Departmental Assessment: Qualifiers in the written test as per the cut off are called for this stage. Candidates called for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment are three (3) times the number of seats available.

AIIMS Fellowship 2021 Departmental Assessment
Departmental Assessment is the second stage of the AIIMS Fellowship selection process. Candidates who qualify the written exam with 50% or more are called for a departmental assessment. Eligible candidates for stage two (2) must upload copies of certificates/documents in support of their educational qualification, marks, date of birth, experience and so on. The documents can be attached by login on the website using id and password on the date specified in the result. Failing to do so leads to cancellation of candidate’s candidature. Candidates should not be sent the documents via post.
