AIIMS MBBS 2020 : All India Institute of Medical Sciences releases the reservation of AIIMS Entrance Exam for MBBS courses. The reservation is also present on the official site aiimsexams.org. Reservation states the seats reserved for various categories for the students appearing in the entrance exam. Reservation seats will be allotted to the students at the time of counselling. Necessary certificate of reservation of a specified category should be brought at the time of counselling for SC/ST, OBC and PWBD category.
AIIMS MBBS 2020 Seats and Reservation
Seat interconvertibility means if the SC seats are not filled by qualified applicants then these seats will be filled by the ST students and vice-versa. The seat interconvertibility can be applied at the time of open counselling. If SC/ST seats remain vacant then they will be filled by the general category applicants. If OBC seats remain vacant then they will be filled by general category applicants in the same manner.

Reservation Criteria for Other Backward Classes students
The students from the non-creamy layer under other backward classes will be given 27% of seats reservations but the students belonging to the creamy layer according to the schedule of the government of India or the latest central list (notification by the government of India). According to the format given in the brochure on the official site, Candidates are required to submit the certificates during counseling.
Reservation Criteria for SC/ST students
About 23% of seats are reserved for the students belonging to SC/ST category in AIIMS. The students have to provide the certificate according to the format for SC/ST. During counseling for claiming the seats, the certificates are submitted by the students.
Reservation Criteria for PWBD students
5% of the seats are reserved for the applicants belonging to a person with benchmark disability. The seats are filled up according to the merit list formed during the AIIMS MBBS entrance examination. The students should have documents or certificate stating the physical disability. The certificate students are providing must be certified by the Medical Board of State Government or Central Government. All the PWBD students should fulfill the evaluation by the medical board and found eligible for the exam.
AIIMS MBBS Specified Disability Clause
Only applicants who will have the following category disability will be considered under specified disability. These Specified Disability Clause clauses are given by the AIIMS , that states as unde:
- Physical Disability
- Locomotor Disability including
- Leprosy cured person
- Cerebral palsy
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Acid attack victims
- Visual Impairment
- Hearing Impairment
- Deaf means 70DB hearing loss
- Hard of hearing means 60 to 70 DB hearing loss
- Speech and Language Disability
- Mental behavior
