AP PGECET 2020 – Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) is an entrance test for getting admission to various courses like Pharmacy, Engineering, Technology, M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./ Graduate-level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate). It’s a state-level entrance exam organized by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Candidates who want to take admission in the PG courses in the institutes affiliated by APSCHE have to fill the application form first. Candidates need to check that they fall into eligibility norm set by the conducting body, in order to be considered for admission. The application invites of non-eligible candidates cannot be entertained by the ASCHE. Check the expected dates for AP PGECET 2020 given below:

AP PGECET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have the following eligibility criteria in order to sit for AP PGECET 2020.

  • The nationality of Candidate should be Indian.
  • They should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974.
  • Qualified Bachelor’s degree with or it’s equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates who are pursuing a B.Tech or its equivalent / B.pharm. course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant M.E./M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy/Pharm.D(PB) courses provided they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of degree by the concerned university on the date of counselling for admission into the colleges.

Candidates who want to take admission in the PG courses in the institutes affiliated by APSCHE have to fill the application form first. Application form will be made available to candidates in online mode. The mode of registration and submission will be online. Candidates are advised to check eligibility criteria before filling application form otherwise the form will get rejected.

Application fee: The application form fee will vary according to the Category. Payment can be done through various modes as stated below :

AP PGECET 2020 Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. Admit card is an important document for examinations. Candidates are advised to carry hall ticket for AP PGECET exam without it candidates will not be allowed to sit in the examination. Candidates can get the information like Exam Center, Exam time and Exam date. Candidates should keep the admit card after examination for future purposes like at the time of admission.

AP PGECET Exam Pattern

As per last year…

Candidates can check below the exam pattern for the examination. This will help the candidates in preparation :

Mode of Examination – Online
Language Medium – English
Type of Questions – Objective Type Questions
Marking Scheme – No negative marking ,+1 for every correct answer
No. of Questions – 120
Total Marks – 120
Duration of Exam – 2 hours

AP PGECET 2020 Answer Key

The Conducting body will release the answer key after a few days of examination. Candidates can match the answers from the answer key. Two answer keys will be released Preliminary key will get release first, Candidates can raise the objections in case of any discrepancy. After considering all the objections the final answer key will get release and on the basis of it, the result will be declared.

AP PGECET 2020 Result

The result will be compiled on the basis of the final answer key. Candidates can check the result on the official website through login credentials like Application Number and Password/ Date of birth. Qualified candidates will download the scorecard from the official website. The expected qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in AP PGECET – is 25% i.e., 30 marks out of a total of 120. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates.

AP PGECET Counselling

After the declaration of result APSCHE will release the merit list for the candidates who have qualified the exams. Only on the basis of it, colleges will be allotted to the candidates. At the time of filling the seats, first preference will be given to the candidates who qualified GATE/GPAT based on their test scores and the remaining seats with the candidates qualified in the AP PGECET 2020.

About APSCHE

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education set up as per as the recommendation of National Education Policy 1986, primarily as a coordinating body between the University Grants Commission (UGC), the State Govt. and Universities. It’s an organised body for AP PGECET. In this candidates who desire to choose a stream of Engineering, Pharmacy or Agriculture can adopt for this examination. Qualified candidates can take admissions in government and private institutes.

AP PGECET 2020 FAQs

Q1. Does the exam will be based on negative marking ?
Ans. No, the marking scheme for AP PGECET is not based on negative marking. +1 mark will be given to every correct answer and 0 for an incorrect answer.

Q2. How can I apply in AP PGECET 2020 ?
Ans. Candidate need to visit the official page. After this candidate will be redirected to the page and click on “Online Application Link”. Now, you can fill the form after checking all the eligibility.

Q3. What are the details needed to download AP PGECET 2020 admit card ?
Ans.
Candidates can download the admit card through registration number and password/date of birth.

Q4. What should be the size of photograph image and in which format ?
Ans.  Size should be 50 kb in the format of .jpg or .jpeg .

Q5. Will the admit card be sent to us via post ?
Ans.
 No , candidates have to download the admit card online.
