Assam CEE 2020 Counselling: Directorate of Technical Education, Assam (DTE) will invite the qualified candidates for the Assam CEE 2020 counselling process. Information regarding the counselling will be published on the official website i.e. dte.assam.gov.in. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their CEE-2020 ranks. Counseling Process consists of the following rounds – document verification, choice of college, choice of branch and allotment with payment of counselling fee as prescribed. Assam CEE 2020 Counselling
After the counselling process, candidates will be issued by the confirmed allotment letter, which will be used for the final admissions into the allotted college. Candidates can check the counselling process schedule from the table below:

Payment of Application Fee for Assam CEE 2020 Counselling
After the declaration of Assam CEE 2020 result, Directorate of Technical Education,Assam will released the notification the for the counselling process on the official website. Qualified candidates have to appear for the choice of college, branch and document verification process at the given date and time. Candidates appearing for the counselling process, have to pay the counselling fee in cash only. As per last year, it will be notified.
After the counselling candidates will have to report the allotted college at the given date and time. Candidates must carry the allotment letter issued at the time of counselling, original documents and admission fee as per the college.
Document Verification for Assam CEE 2020 Counselling
Candidates appearing for the counselling have to carry the documents (original & photocopy) for the verification. They have to carry the duly-filled counselling application Form, institution choice filling Form and admission record sheet at the time counselling. Candidates must ensure that all the photocopies bear the signature of the candidate.
Check all the necessary documents to be carried out at the time of counselling :
- CEE 2020 Admit Card
- CEE 2020 Admit card/ marks copy
- Date of birth certificate
- Marksheet of class 12th
- Permanent residence certificate
- Character certificate
- Gap certificate
For Reserved categories:
- OBC – NCL certificate
- PWD certificate
- Moran community certificate
- Freedom fighter certificate
- Certificate from the Director, Sainik Board, Assam
- Sports/ NCC category certificate
Assam CEE 2020 Seat Allotment
Seat will be allotted to candidates after the document verification and counselling round. Seats will be alloted to candidates on the basis of their preference of college. If any seat will remain vaccant during 1st round of counselling then the remaining seats will be filled in further rounds.
Spot Round of Assam CEE 2020 Counselling
DTE will conducts spot round of counselling to fill the vacant seats after the 3rd counselling process. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of ranks and first-come first-serve basis. However, spot round of counselling shall not guarantee a seat at the State Engineering College of Assam.
Candidates appearing for the spot round , have to pay the fee (As per last year, it will be notified) as given below-
- Counselling fee – Rs.700/-
- Admission Fee – Rs,1850/-
Assam CEE 2020
The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) conducts Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) for admission into B.Tech programmes in the government engineering colleges in Assam. It is a State Level Entrance Examination conducted every year in pen paper mode. Around 25,000 students, every year registered for the examination. Candidates who possess a domicile of Assam state and have completed the 10+2 exam with minimum 50% marks (general), 45% (SC) & 40% (ST)
