BVP CET BBT 2018
Students will be admitted to B.Sc Biotech courses in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT & Biotech Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test (CET BBT 2018) for which they have to fill the application form as per schedule date.

A Notice regarding vacant seats for admission to B.Sc. Biotechnology & B. Optometry and M.Sc. Candidate who have successfully passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 course) or equivalent examination with minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and /or Mathematics and passed in English, from a recognized board is eligible for admission to the First year of the B.Sc. Biotechnology course.
BVP CET BBT Application Form 2018
A candidate desirous of appearing in the CET BBT 2018 is required to complete the prescribed application form on or before the last date of application and submit to the University along with entrance test fee.
The candidates should avoid overwriting, cutting, erasures on the form. Any discrepancies in the statements and/or submission of incomplete form will lead to its rejection / cancellation of admission.

Applicants should ensure that
- He/She has signed the application from at the places specified for the purpose. The application from is duly signed by his/her father/ guardian.
- The recent passport size photographs duly attested by the head of school or a gazetted officer have been pasted in the spaces earmarked for that purpose.
BVP CET BBT Admit Card 2018
Admit card will be available online to candidates after successfully filling up the online application form and payment of the entrance test fee. Candidates are required to download and print a copy of the admit card. Candidates MUST bring the following documents to the test centre:
- Printed copy of Admit Card
- Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired): Aadhaar Card /PAN card/Driving license/Voter ID/Passport. The name on the photo identification must match with the name as show on the Admit card.
Candidate reporting to test center without the above said requisite documents shall not be allowed to appear for the entrance test.
BVP CET BBT Exam Pattern
The entrance test BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018 will be conducted on scheduled date from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. All candidates desirous of taking admission for B. Sc. Biotechnology Programme must appear for BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018. The entrance test BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018 for admission to B. Sc. Biotechnology Programme will consist of in all 75 marks. The BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018 will consists of one question paper, set in English and will contain 100 multiple choice objective-type questions, 25 each on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Question No. 1-25 Physics(Compulsory), Question No. 26-50 Chemistry (Compulsory), Question No. 51-75 Biology (Optional), Question No. 76-100 Mathematics (Optional). Question No. 1 to 50 are compulsory. The candidate has to solve questions 51 to 75 (Biology) or 76-100 (Mathematics). The candidate should not solve both the optional sets or parts thereof. Hence each candidate will solve 75 questions. It consists of 100 multiple choice questions, one mark each with four alternatives, with only one correct or most appropriate answer. One Mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There is no negative marking.

BVP CET BBT Result 2018
Candidates can see the result of BVP CET BBT 2018 from the official website of Bharati Vidyapeeth or notice board as per schedule date mention above after the conduction of entrance examination. Merit list of candidates who have registered for BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018 will be released online. The University will prepare Merit lists for Regular Merit category and Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI/ Institutional Quota Merit Category candidates who have appeared for CET-BBT-2018 in accordance with the total marks obtained by them in CET-BBT-2018. The merit list of BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018 entrance test will be declared and displayed at all the Colleges of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) and will also be displayed on its website www.bvuniversity.edu.in. It is not possible to send individual invitation for counselling to the candidates. It shall be the responsibility of the individual candidate to see their own merit number and appear for the counselling at the centre of his/her choice as per schedule
The counseling session for admission to B.Sc. Biotechnology will be conducted on the scheduled date at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT & Biotechnology, Pune 411 046. The candidate must report at 10 a.m. on the date of counselling. Failure to report for counseling on the schedule date and time will result in instantaneous cancellation of a claim of the candidate of the seat. It shall be candidates responsibility to see the result of CET-BBT-2018. Candidate will be allotted seat as per his/her merit and choice, based on the availability of seats.
The candidate should remain present for the personal interview (counselling) and for on the spot admission, as per the schedule.
Individual counselling letters are not going to be sent. The candidate should attend counselling & on the spot admissions on their own as per the schedule given. The candidate should bring along with them proof of having appeared for the entrance test such as Admit Card & or photo copy of application form /Payment etc.
The candidate will be offered a seat in the Institute of their choice and course as per the combined merit list prepared by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune for all the colleges and all the courses. The candidate will be called for counselling as per their merit number and will be offered a seat as per availability of the seat in the particular Institute and particular programme.
Document required at the time of Counselling
The following certificates in original along with self-attested two copies each of the same are to be submitted at the time of counselling and on the spot admission.
- Your letter for counselling
- For a Proof of date of Birth : SSC Certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate or Certificate of Domicile/Nationality Certificate
- Statement of marks of X std examination.
- Statement of marks of XII std examination.
- Transfer Certificate from the Institution in which you had studied last.
- Caste Certificate (in case of candidates of SC/ST category)
- Caste validity certificate issued by appropriate authority (in case of candidates of SC/ST category)
- Migration Certificate (for students who joined a course after 12th).
- Conduct and Character Certificate from a responsible person.
- Certificate of Medical Fitness.
- Six recent passport-size photographs with your names written on backside.
- The amount of fees and Hostel fees (in case you are admitted to Hostel.)
- Authority letter-wherever applicable.
- The application should also be accompanied by a document in the form of school leaving certificate / transfer / migration / character certificate, which should include a report on behavioral pattern of applicant, so that the institution can thereafter keep intense watch upon a student who has a negative entry in this regard.
- An affidavit in the required format signed by the candidate and countersigned by the parent/guardian in the presence of Notary Public on stamp paper Rs. 100/-.
Note: After scrutiny of the certificates, the candidates are offered admission according to their rank and availability of seats.
B.Sc. Biotechnology is a broad discipline in which biological processes, organisms, cells or cellular components are exploited to develop new technologies. New tools and products developed by biotechnologists are useful in research, agriculture, industry and clinic. The minimum credits required to complete the program are 156 which normally takes a three years or six semesters. The medium of instruction and examination is English.

B.Sc. Biotechnology – 80
Note: 15% seats are reserved under Foreign / NRI /P.I.O. / OCI/ Institutional Quota Merit Category. Candidates seeking admissions to the seats under Foreign / NRI /P.I.O. / OCI/ Institutional Quota Merit category will have to apply separately on a prescribed application form. The application form will be available at the office of The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, L.B.S. Marg, Pune-30. The form fee for this category is Rs. 1,000/- (non refundable). Seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign / NRI / P.I.O./ OCI Students (based on Merit), will be allotted to Indian students under Institutional Quota on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained by them in BBT (B. Sc. Biotechnology) 2018. The last date for submission of form to this category at the above mentioned address is 14th June 2018 before 5.00 p.m.
