Calcutta University BLIS Admission 2019
Candidates seeking admission in BLIS course have to fill their downloaded application form from the official website http://www.caluniv.ac.in as per schedule. Those who submit their downloaded application on time will be eligible to issue the admit card by a competent authority. Entrance will be conducted in the month of June 2018. The admission to the BLIS course is done following strictly the admission/merit list prepared on the basis of the Admission Test.

Result 2019
A candidate who secures at least 30% marks in each theory paper and at least 40% marks in each practice paper (and in sessionals / internal assessments, if there be any) and secures at least 40% marks in aggregate but less than 60% marks in aggregate shall be declared passed in the second class.
A candidate who passed each of the theory and practice papers (and in the sessionals / internal assessments) as mentioned above and secured 60% or more marks in aggregate will be declared passed in the first class.

Eligibility Criteria
The admission to the BLIS course is done following strictly the admission/merit list prepared on the basis of the Admission Test. Person having Honours Degree (10 + 2 + 3 pattern) or Master Degree or degree (even if without Honours degree at Bachelor level) in a technical subject (of the pattern 10 + 2 + 4 or 10 + 2 + 5) such as Medical, Engineering, Law etc. of this university or having an equivalent degree of any other university or institute recognized by this University will be eligible for admission to the course. The persons appearing in the final Part – II Honours Examination will also be allowed to sit for the Admission Test. But their admission to BLIS will be subject to the condition of securing Honours Degree when the result comes out.

Documents and Details needed while filling the online application form
- Photocopies of the all the relevant marksheets (from class 10th onwards).
- A soft copy of the scanned photograph (3.5 C.M. X 3.5 C.M.) and Signature (not more than 20 kb each in jpg/jpeg format)
- Email Address of the candidate.
Exam Pattern
The Admission Test will be held on specified date and time as announced. The questions of the Admission Test will be objective type and multiple choices. The areas of Admission Test may be English language, numerical ability, reasoning ability, general knowledge, basic subjects etc.
A candidate shall be examined in theory and practice papers and in assignments and/or sessionals and/or class tests.
An eligible candidate who fulfills the conditions laid down above will have to appear in the final examination in each of the theory papers. Duration of written examination for each theoretical full paper is 4 (four) hours and for the half, the paper is 2 (two) hours.
Seat Intake
At present, the total number of seats for BLIS course is 58 (Intake may be changed the time to time). Reservations for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Classes and Physically Handicapped etc. students, will be followed, as per the State Government rules
Merit/Admission List
A merit/admission list on the basis of the performance of the Admission Test will be published on the Departmental Notice Board as per schedule.
No personal communication will be made to and individual candidates in this regard.
Counselling 2019
First Round
Calcutta University has announced the list of candidates who are called for admission counseling for BLIS course. Candidates are requested to enter the Room for counseling cum admission on or before 11:30 am. The door of the room will be closed strictly on 12 Noon. After that, no candidate will be allowed to enter the room and to participate in the counseling process in any circumstance.

Documents Required
- All mark sheets in original and Xerox copies from Madhyamik/ equivalent to Graduations/Master’s degree/ equivalent examinations.
- One recent passport size photograph.
- Age proof in original and attested copy.
- Fees Required: Rs. 1445.00 (including university challan) Fees structure will be displayed in the Departmental Notice Board.
For candidates appeared Part-III Honours Examination, the counseling will be provisional and their seats will be reserved until their result is published. They have to take admission within three working days from the date of publication of Part – III Honours result if passed.
Counseling will be provisional for candidates from the universities outside West Bengal, subject to the report of the Equivalence Committee of the University of Calcutta.

Tuition fees for at least 6 months and other fees mentioned above must be paid at the time of admission. The fee for the examination is separate.
