The noble profession of medical sciences is indeed alluring to thousands of students of the country who are making up their minds about their career choices. Right after class 10th or matriculation, a student has to choose the stream of study. It is no secret that the toughest combination of subjects is supposed to be the deadly PCB. The game gets even deadlier if a student adds M to the bag. So now, armed with the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and in cases, Mathematics, the student spends two years learning the nitty gritties of medical sciences. How quickly these two years pass, only the child knows, who is now faced with another task of applying for all the right Medical Entrance Exams. As most of them have strict eligibility based on state to which the student belongs, the exams given here are divided on all India basis and state basis.
All India Level Medical Entrance Exams
The All India Pre Medical / Pre Dental Medical Entrance Test, AIPMT is a must for all students across India. This year many states have opted out of state medical exams and will be conducting medical admissions on basis of AIPMT only. If you are a student of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, and Odisha, you must compulsorily take the AIPMT exam for admission to All India or State Quota medical seats. In these states, state level exam will not be conducted by the respective medical council / exam conducting body.
