This is what the admit card of CAT 2018 looks like. It contains name, registration number, date of birth, category, PWD status, space for photograph, photograph and signature, date and day of test, test time / session, test city, test centre, reference number.

12:57 PM: Know how to download in CAT Admit Card 2018 if you have forgotten user ID / password?
Those who have forgotten user name or password can make use of the forgot username / password link at login page. Go to login page, then click on forgot user ID / password. Then enter email ID. You will get user ID and password.
12:30 PM: Only 30 min left for CAT Admit Card; Keep these ready
Candidates will need user id and password to access the login and download CAT admit card 2018. It is advised that candidates keep these nearby. Refer to your e-mail id and sms to confirm these.
12:00 Noon: On CAT Admit Card Paste same photo as in application form.
After downloading the admit card, candidates will have to paste a passport size photograph on it. For the photograph, a specific space will be given on the admit card. Candidates will have to make sure that the pasted photograph should be the same as that uploaded in the application form.
11:48 AM: Only CAT Exam Admit Card 2018 and photo ID will be allowed.
One can only carry CAT Exam Admit Card 2018 with a photo ID to the exam centre. Besides these two things, nothing else is allowed. Candidates are specifically requested to note that any such item that is incriminating in nature may lead to cancellation of candidature.
11:16 AM: Valid photo ID necessary on day of exam.
It is mandatory to bring a valid, non-expired photo ID card on day of exam, as mentioned in CAT Admit Card 2018. The IDs that are expected to be allowed include college ID, employer ID, driving license, passport, PAN Card, voter ID, Aadhaar Card, identification affidavit.
11:10 AM: CAT Admit Card 2018 needs to be printed on an A4 size paper.
Candidates must print admit card / hall ticket on a plain white sheet of paper of A4 size. Preferably use a laser printer so that all the details including photograph and signature are clear.
10:48 AM: Will IIMs delay issuance of CAT Admit Card 2018 again?
In the last 5 years, for every year, IIMs have delayed publishing CAT Admit Card. This streak seems to be about to break as this year the date of issuance of admit card only is late.

CAT Exam Date 2018
Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 is scheduled to be held on 25 Nov 2018. The exam will be held in two shifts on the same day.
Other MBA Entrance Exams – A week later to CAT exam, IIFT is holding IIFT MBA IB Entrance Exam 2019 on 02 Dec 2018. More than a month after that, XLRI is conducting XAT 2019 on 06 Jan 2019. In between, Symbiosis MBA entrance exam SNAP 2018 is going to be conducted on 16 Dec 2018. Much later in January, NTA shall conduct CMAT 2019 on 28 Jan 2019.

There are three sections in CAT Exam. They are:

Advantages of downloading CAT Admit Card 2018 early
We know that there are 33 days in which one can download the CAT Admit Card 2018. The facility to download it starts on 24 October and ends on 25 November. But there are significant advantages of downloading admit card sooner rather than later. They are
- You will know CAT 2018 Exam Centre sooner: CAT Admit Card 2018 carries the exam centre name and address. Knowing it, you will understand whether you need to make travel arrangements or not. Also, you can plan how to reach exam centre on time on day of exam.
- You will know examination shift and its respective timings: IIM Calcutta is conducting CAT exam 2018 in two shifts on the same day. Candidates are assigned a shift at random and the same is conveyed via admit card. Reporting timings for both are different and the sooner you know your exam timings, the quicker you can start adjusting your sleep cycle according to it. For example if you get the forenoon session then you need to stop studying late at night and start making a habit to wake up early.
Reporting times for CAT exam 2018 shift wise
For each of the two shifts in CAT exam 2018, specific timings are given. Candidates must ensure to reach latest by the below mentioned reporting timings.
Forenoon Session: – Report latest by 7:30 AM.
Afternoon Session: – Report latest by 1:00 PM.
Other than timings, other instructions shall remain same for all candidates. It is important to make note that candidate will be allowed to appear in exam of that shift only in which he/she has been assigned. Therefore please check admit card carefully and know your examination shift.
