NEET 2017 is most important medical entrance exam for admission to MBBS / BDS courses in most of the Medical / Dental Colleges except for AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released details and application form for National Eligibility Entrance Test. You can apply for NEET UG 2017 online only. There is no offline application form. The Central Board of Secondary Education is the organization to conduct National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG).

In order to be eligible for MBBS / BDS Admission 2017, it is necessary to obtain minimum marks in CBSE NEET besides obtaining minimum prescribed marks in Class 12. All admissions to medical & dental courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the CBSE NEET UG 2017.

NEET Application Form 2017

Online submission of NEET 2017 Application Form may be done by accessing Board’s website. Instructions for online submission of Application are available in the Information Bulletin and on the website. Follow the instructions strictly because NEET 2017 Online Application shall be disqualified if not complying with the rules. From this year Aadhaar Number is required for submission of Application Form of NEET 2017. Only one NEET 2017 Application Form is to be submitted by a candidate. Particulars filled in CBSE NEET application form 2017 may be chosen carefully as options exercised once cannot be changed later including examination centre city and language of Question Paper.

NEET 2017 Application Fee can be remitted in various online methods. For General / OBC category students NEET Application Fee is Rs. 1400 and for SC / ST / PH candidate it is Rs. 750.

NEET 2017 Application Form Correction

Any correction pertaining to the photograph and signature will be intimated through e-mail and SMS and the same will be available in the candidate’s login account. Other permissible application form corrections will also be through log-in account with in permissible time only; therefore, ensure submission of correct data while submitting the application.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2017

NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria is laid down by CBSE. Eligibility criteria for CBSE NEET specifies class 12 marks, age limit of applicant, and maximum number of attempts. Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG) 2017.

The minimum Age should be 17 years on or before 31st December 2017 or at the time of admission. The upper age limit for NEET UG is 25 years as on the date of examination.

The number of attempts is limited to 3 (three) for all the candidates. The candidates who have already appeared in AIPMT / NEET on three occasions are not allowed.

NEET UG 2017 Exam Pattern

The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). NEET 2017 exam is pen paper based.

The duration of test would be 03 hours.

Language of the Question Papers:-

  • Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only.
  • Candidates opting for Hindi / Vernacular languages would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in selected language and in English.

About NEET 2017

CBSE NEET 2017 will be held in single stage and it would be an objective type test. CBSE will be conducting the NEET 2017 for MBBS / BDS Admission on Sunday, the 07th May, 2017 and will declare the result. Also it will release the All India Ranks for counselling of 15% All India Quota Seats. The NEET Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats will be conducted by MCC / DGHS.

Admissions to all seats of medical / dental courses will be done through National Eligibility cutm Entrance Test (UG) 2017. The seats are classified in the following categories :- (i) All India Quota Seats (ii) State Government Quota Seats (iii) State/Private/Management/NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University (iv) Central Pool Quota Seats

The reservation of seats in Medical / Dental colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in States / Union Territories.

NEET Admit Card 2017

Once the online application form submission process is over. NEET 2017 Admit Card are published to be downloaded online. You will need to present NEET Exam Admit Card 2017 on day of exam. The candidates can download Admit Card for the Examination from the official website.

CBSE NEET 2017 OMR Answer Sheet & Response

CBSE will display the images of NEET OMR Answer Sheets 2017 and Responses graded by the Machine of all the candidates. Candidates will be given an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR Answer Sheet grading on payment of Rs.1000 per response challenged. This payment will be refunded if the challenge is accepted by the Board.

The machine gradable Answer Sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised so there is no provision for re-checking / re-evaluation of the answer sheets.

CBSE NEET Answer Key 2017

NEET Answer Key 2017 will be released online with opportunity to challenge in case of any ambiguity. Candidates will be given an opportunity to make online challenge against the Answer Key on payment of Rs. 1000 per answer challenged. Just like OMR Sheet & Response this will also be refunded if the challenge is accepted.

CBSE NEET Result 2017

Central Board of Secondary Education conduct the CBSE NEET UG 2017 Examination, evaluate the Answer Sheets and declare the NEET 2017 Result. CBSE will also prepare the merit list / wait list as per the directives of, DGHS, MCI and DCI. No category wise result will be prepared. As soon as the NEET UG Result is ready, CBSE will host the CBSE NEET Result on its website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets.

An all India merit list of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission in MBBS / BDS courses. No candidate who has failed to obtain the minimum eligibility marks as prescribed by the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India shall be admitted.

CBSE NEET Counselling 2017

The NEET Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the MCC / DGHS. The NEET Counselling 2017 for admission in seats under the control of other States / Universities / Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.

During counselling, the eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates shall be verified as per norms specified by the respective authorities and Medical/Dental Colleges.

5 Important points to note for CBSE NEET UG 2017

#1 Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.

  • Three printouts of the Confirmation Page of NEET UG.
  • Proof of fee paid.
  • Five copies of identical passport size Photograph and 2 similar post card size photos
  • Copy of the system generated Self Declaration in respect of candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K who have opted for seats under 15% All India Quota .

#2 Candidates must ensure that mobile numbers, e-mail ID filled in the online Application form are their own or their parents’. The Board will make communication by SMS and/or e-mail on given mobile number and e-mail ID respectively only.

#3 Mark answers on the specially designed machine-gradable NEET answer sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at examination centre only.

#4 Candidates must preserve the Admit Cards till their admission.

#5 Keep your head in upright position and face the camera during the videography so that your identity could be clearly established.

CBSE NEET (UG) 2017 Reservation

Candidates shall be admitted to MBBS / BDS courses from the merit list only by following the already existing reservation policy. CBSE will provide All India Rank. Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities. Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained
in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.

  • 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
  • 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
  • 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates only in Central Educational Institutions.
