CG PET Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test

Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET 2018) is conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. It is a state level entrance exam. Students who wish to get admission in the UG engineering course and its branches (Dairy Technology and Agriculture Engineering) offered by the various institutes of Chattisgarh need to appear for this examination.

Students will also be granted admission in the varied B.E courses on the basis of their JEE Main scores. However, only students who do not have the domicile of Chhattisgarh state will be eligible for admission via IIT-JEE. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board is also known as the CG Vyapam. CG PET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to go through the information brochure before applying for the CG PET 2018 exam. Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by the examination conducting body. Candidates who fail to fulfil any of the criteria will be disqualified from the examination. A few of the criterias are listed below for the reference of the candidates.

General Criteria

  • The applicant should be an Indian national.
  • Candidates applying for the examination must have a state domicile.

Engineering Programme

  • Candidate must have cleared their higher secondary education examination form a recognised board or from the Chattisgarh Board.
  • Candidates must have Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and one of the technical vocational subjects in their qualifying examination.
  • The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.

Agriculture Engineering

  • The candidate should be minimum 16 years of age before 31st August of the 2018.
  • Candidate must have cleared their higher secondary education examination form a recognised board or from the Chattisgarh Board.
  • Candidates must have the required subjects Physics, Chemistry,Mathematics and English as their subjects in their qualifying exam.
  • Applicants must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCM & English (40% for SC/ST/OBC) in their 10 +2 exam.
  • Final year students who will appear for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Dairy Technology

  • Candidate must be minimum 17 years of age before 31st December of the 2018.
  • The student must have cleared their 10 + 2 examinations from Chhattisgarh board or from an equivalent board.
  • It is compulsory that the candidates have Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English as their subjects in their qualifying examination.
  • The applicant must score at least 50% marks together in PCM and English for General category and 40% for reserved categories.

CG PET 2018 Application Form

The application forms for CG PET 2018 is now available online on the official website. Candidates who wish to appear for the CG PET 2018 examination need to register themselves for the examination. They will be required to enter valid details of their government authorised photo id proofs such as Aadhar no./PAN card no./A/C no./Driving License No. in their application form. Candidates must keep a scanned copy of their passport photograph, thumb impression and signature along with their names ready in a JPEG format. The size of the file should be 50kb maximum and 40kb minimum. Once, the form is submitted candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in their application form. It is advised that the candidates take a printout of their confirmation page once they have submitted their application forms. Candidates will get a registration id for their exam once they have registered successfully. The process of application submission is incomplete until the candidate can submit the application fees.The application fee for CG PET 2018 is mentioned below. Candidates can submit it through Net Banking, Debit / Credit Card.

  • General – Rs. 200
  • SC/ST/PWD – Rs. 100

CG PET 2018 Admit Card

Candidates who will be able to register themselves before the last scheduled date is able to download their admit cards. The admit card for CG PET 2018 is available online . CG PET 2018 Syllabus

CG PET 2018 Exam Pattern

The CG PET 2018 exam will be conducted in the morning and afternoon shift. The examination will be an objective type exam and candidates will be asked multiple choice questions in the examination. The total number of questions that will be asked in the examination will be 150. Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct response and their will be no negative marking for an incorrect response.

CG PET 2018 Result

CG PET 2018 results has been declared by Chhattisgarh Vyapam. The result for CG PET 2018 are declared after the successfully commencement of examination. The results indicates the score as well as the ranks secured by the candidates. Candidates are now allocated seats as the rank scored by the candidates in the CG PET 2018 entrance examination. Candidates can check their result from link provided above. However, the board will issue a separate merit list for the candidates applying through JEE Main 2018.

CG PET 2018 Counselling

The counselling of CG PET 2018 will be held soon after the results have been officially declared.The counselling session will be held separately for the JEE and CG PET qualifiers. The counselling for JEE Main qualifiers will commence before the counselling session of PET candidates. The process of CG PET 2018 Counselling will be same for all the qualifying candidates. The candidates will have to register themselves online for the counselling round. They will have to enter their preferred course and then the document verification of the candidates will be done. Once, the verification is done the seat allotment result will be announced. Candidates can then accept the seat or withdraw it to participate in next round of counselling. In each round, the registration and choice filling will be done anew. In all, there will be three rounds of counselling.

  • Chhattisgarh State Quota (CGQ1): Only the Chhattisgarh State domicile candidates are eligible for admission under this quota.
  • Other State Quota (OSQ1): Only other state domicile candidates are eligible for admission under this quota.
  • Management Quota (MQ1): Along with the Chhattisgarh State domicile candidates, the other state domicile candidates shall also be eligible for admission under this quota.
