The counselling of CG PET 2018 will be held soon after the results have been officially declared. The counselling session will be held separately for the JEE and CG PET qualifiers. The counselling for JEE Main qualifiers will commence before the counselling session of PET candidates. The process of CG PET 2018 Counselling will be same for all the qualifying candidates. The candidates will have to register themselves online for the counselling round. They will have to enter their preferred course and then the document verification of the candidates will be done. Once, the verification is done the seat allotment result will be announced. Candidates can then accept the seat or withdraw it to participate in next round of counselling. In each round, the registration and choice filling will be done anew. In all, there will be three rounds of counselling.
CG PET Counseling 2018 for JEE Mains candidates
The candidates who are not from Chhattisgarh can get admission in engineering colleges of Chhatisgarh by on the basis of JEE Mains scores. The DTE, Chhattisgarh will announce the counseling schedule for same.
The counselling of CG PET 2018 will be held separately for the JEE and PET qualifiers. For the JEE Main qualifiers, it will start ahead of that for the PET candidates. The schedule of it will be announced later on. However, the process of it will be the same for all the candidates.
Registration Form 2018
Qualified candidates will have to fill the registration form for counselling to appear in the counselling which will be held by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board after the declaration of Result.
Passing 12th through (10+2) education system of Board of secondary education, Chhattisgarh or any recognized board/University with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subject as Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject is essential.
Passing cumulatively in all three main subjects i.e. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with minimum 45% marks for UR category and 40% marks for SC, ST, OBC category and PWD candidate of Chhattisgarh is essential.
Passing separately in each of the 3 main qualifying subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject (Theory and Practical) as per rules of concerning board is essential.
The merit list shall be prepared category wise on the basis of the marks scored cumulatively in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in PET.
In case of candidates scoring same marks, merit shall be determined on the marks scored in the following order – (1) Mathematics, (2) Physics and (3) Higher age candidates shall be given priority in admission.
If age is also same then candidate scoring more marks in 12th (Out of total marks) shall be given priority in admission.
