What to do if forgot password for CLAT 2020 Result Login?
The applicants must not worry, in case they have forgotten their password for the CLAT 2020 result. They can follow these steps to retrieve the same.
STEP 1: First of all, click on the “ forgot password” option present on the candidate login page.
STEP 2: Next, enter the registered mobile number and click on the request OTP.
STEP 3: Now, in the next window, confirm the new password and click on reset password.
How is CLAT 2020 Result Prepared?
The conducting body uses the following steps to calculate the score and result for CLAT 2020.
Calculation of Raw Marks: The official authority uses the following marking scheme to calculate their raw score.
- For correct answers : 1 mark is allotted
- For incorrect answers: 0.25 are deducted
- Number of Questions: There are 150 questions
- For correct answers : 1 mark is allotted

Preparation of merit list: Then, the merit list is prepared and released by different colleges at the same time. It includes important information like rank, name, admit card number and the university which is provisionally allotted by the college.
CLAT 2020 Tie Breaking Criteria
In case 2 or more applicants score the same marks, then the tie is solved with the help of the following criteria.
- First, the candidates having higher marks in the component / section on legal aptitude are given preference.
- Then, the older applicant is ranked higher.
- Thereafter, the computerised draw is taken into consideration.
CLAT 2020 Cut Off
National Law University (NLU), releases the cut-off marks i.e the minimum qualifying marks after the declaration of result. Candidates who have secured as per it are allotted seats based on the choices filled, reservation criteria and their merit rank.

CLAT 2020 Counselling
After the declaration of the CLAT 2020 result, the official authority releases the First Provisional Seat Allotment List based on merit-cum-preference on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. There are 3 seat allotment rounds.
STEP 1: Registration for Counselling
First, the candidates need to login with their application form number and password. They need to register with basic details to participate in the rounds.
STEP 2: Choice Filling and Seat Allotment
As per the schedule, candidates can exercise their options in the choice filling round. They can use the following options.
Locking: If the applicant is satisfied with the allotted seat, then they can pay the above mentioned fee through online banking and confirm their seat.
Withdrawing: Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in any further rounds, can use this option. They get a refund of Rs. 40,000 after deducting Rs. 10,000.
Upgrading: The candidate can also upgrade their seats and participate in the further rounds for the same. They have to pay the fee to retain the previously allotted seat.
STEP 3: Document Verification and Reporting
Selected applicants have to report to the allotted NLU for verification for documents and other formal procedures. They need to pay fee to confirm their seat.

CLAT 2020 Latest Update
CLAT 2020 merit list: With the scorecard of CLAT 2020 candidates will be also able to check the merit list. The merit list will have the ranks of the candidates and their roll numbers. In case 2 or more candidates get the same rank in the exam then, tie-breaking will be done to assign the ranks. The breaking of the tie will be as per the below-given orders:
1. Marks in legal aptitude will be checked
2. Elder candidates will be ranked higher if the tie remains.
3. Finally, the breaking of the tie will be on computerised draw of lots.
CLAT 220 website down: The website of CLAT 2020 is not working. It says that the “consortiumofnlus.ac.in refused to connect.” The result can be expected soon.

CLAT 2020 expected cutoff: As per the experts following will be executed cutoff of NLUs this year for admission via CLAT 2020:
For the top 3 NLUs under CLAT 2020 that are NALSA, NLSUI, and NUJS that cutoff expected is 85 to 87
For the top 10 NLUs under CLAT 2020 the expected cutoff is 80 to 82.
For at least anyone NLU it should be 73 to 75.
Updates on CLAT 2020 seat matrix and reservations: A few changes have been made in the seat matrix of CLAT 2020. These are as follows
a) Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur is offering 120 seats in BA LLB. The EWS category for Madhya Pradesh candidates has been introduced.
b) Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna will also offer 120 UG law seats out of which 6 seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to EWS category of Bihar.
C) DR. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonepat will be offering 120 seats and of them, 30 seats will be for the candidates belonging to Haryana and 9 seats will be reserved for the EWS category.
CLAT 2020 counselling: After the announcement of CLAT result 2020, the authorities will begin counselling registration from October 6. The first seat allotment and CLAT cut off lists will be released on October 9. The counselling will be held in three rounds and CLAT 2020 cut off will be announced separately for each round.
CLAT 2020 result declaration time: CLAT 2020 result is expected to release at or after 6 PM as per last year’s trend.
Number of students taking CLAT 2020: This year a total of 75,183 candidates applied for CLAT 2020 out of which 68,833 candidates had downloaded the admit cards. Of the candidates who have downloaded the admit card, 86.20 percent appeared for the test.
About CLAT 2020
The CLAT is a national level law entrance exam, which is held in offline mode. It is held both for UG and PG law programmes. The duration of the same is 2 hours. There are 120 questions of one mark each in the UG question paper, whereas there are 150 questions of one mark each in the PG paper.
