It is conducted by the ten Central Universities – CU Haryana, CU Jammu, CU Jharkhand, CU Kashmir, CU Karnataka, CU Kerala, CU Punjab, CU Rajasthan – under the guidance of Central University Rajasthan. You must appear in CUCET for admission into UG / integrated program / PG programs and research programs.

Latest: Official website and application form of CUCET 2018 will be launched on February 1, 2018. The Central Universities are also contemplating introducing computer based tests for some programs.

CUCET 2018

Nearly one lakh aspirants take the test every year. Those candidates who have completed 10+62, Bachelors degree, Masters degree, can appear in CUCET 2018. First, schedule of CUCET 2018 is given below:

CUCET 2018 exam date: The Central University of Rajasthan will announce exam date of CUCET 2018. Last year the exam was held on 17th and 18th May. In the year before that, exam dates were 21st and 22nd May. Even before that, exams were held on 6th and 7th June. Therefore CUCET 2018 exam date is most likely to be in May or June.

CUCET 2018 Application Form

The application form for CUCET 2018 will be released in the online mode. Only the eligible candidates will be able to apply for the examination. Therefore candidates are advised to read the eligibility norms carefully that are mentioned above and on the concerned university website before applying for the examination. The application form will be available on the official website of CUCET 2018 at official website. It will be submitted only through online mode.

Candidates must have valid personal email ID and mobile number which should be kept active during the entire admission process. All the information regarding the admission in the central Universities and the entrance test will be send through registered mobile number and email ID. The applicants need to upload the photograph and signature of the size in between  10KB – 100 KB and 5KB – 20KB. Candidates will have a choice to choose the test centers of the examination while filling the application form. The form must be filled very carefully with all the required details that are asked.

The candidates need to submit the application fee along with the application form of CUCET 2018. It can be paid through online method by using the Credit/ Debit card orc by net banking. The candidates can also pay the fee through offline mode by e-challan.

CUCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The Central Universities has set the eligibility criteria for the candidates who shall apply for the examination. The candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions to appear in CUCET 2018. The eligibility norms are mentioned below in the points.

  • Students applying for the examination must have passed in class 12th examination from a recognised school to take admission in the Bachelor’s degree course in the Central Universities.
  • For those who shall apply for the master Degree programme must possess Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University.
  • The candidates must have Master’s degree from a recognized university or Institute to apply for to take admission in research programmes.
  • Candidates are advised to read the eligibility norms from the official website of the participating  central University. As there are different eligibility conditions in different central University for the same course.
  • Candidates must be eligible for the course they are applying for, ineligible candidates will not get admission in the Central Universities.

CUCET 2018 Syllabus

The question paper of CUCET 2018 shall contain only multiple choice questions.

There will be negative marking in the examination/. For each correct answer candidate will be awarded with 1 Mark and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks shall be deducted. No marks shall be deducted for the questions which are not answered. The examination shall be conducted in 2 parts that is part I and part II. The number of question along with the subject name is given below in the table.

Only one paper will be held which will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions for the entrance examination for some Integrated Courses like B.Voc./MBA/MCA/LLB or any other general courses. The question related to  English language, reasoning, data interpretations/ numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills will be covered.

CUCET 2018 Admit Card

The admit card for CUCET 2018 will be available  in the month of May 2018. The candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website of CUCET 2018 at cucet2018.co.in The admit card will be given to only those candidates who shall successfully register themselves by filling the application form along with the submission of the application fee. The admit card shall contain the important details regarding the examination such as date, time and centre of examination. Candidates need to visit the official website and enter the login credentials Application ID, Date of Birth and the verification code. After downloading the admit card, candidates must take a printout of it and retain it till the admissions.

CUCET 2018 Result

The result of CUCET 2018 will be declared after the successful commencement of the examination. It will probably be released in the first week of June. The result will be announced on the official website of CUCET at cucet2018.co.in It will be released in the form of a scorecard which will contain the marks and other details of the examination. Candidates needs to enter the application ID and Date of Birth with the verification code to download the scorecard. The candidates who will qualify the examination will be eligible to appear in the separate University counselling round.
