NTA has conducted the first day, first slot of CUET 2022 today, on 15 July 2022. As per students, the paper was easy to moderate. Most questions were NCERT based. This was the very first exam of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET UG). Students who opted upto four tests are appearing in the first slot i.e. the morning shift. The question paper of CUET 2022 for July 15 shift 1 is critical for both those who appeared in this shift, and those whose paper is any upcoming slot of phase 1 or phase 2. This is because 15 July shift 1 is the first CUET UG exam ever and until now there was no other sample paper or such thing to prepare for the exam.

The CUET 2022 July 15 Shift 1 question paper finally tells everyone what type of questions are being set in the CUET exam. Soon NTA will officially release the question paper, answer key, response sheet. CUET 15th July 2022 Shift 1 Question Paper – Analysis
Student Reactions – As per students, the question paper was okay. The level was moderately tough. There were RC based questions, analytical type both. Those who studied well from NCERT found the paper easy.
General Test – Students were worried about the section as there was no fixed book-based syllabus. But they found it easy to moderate. There were not many reasoning questions. There were GK based questions. The current affairs questions were of very recent events. Static GK questions were less.
Which papers were held today – Different students had different papers today. Some of the papers were general test, teaching aptitude, english, hindi, business studies, legal studies, political science, sociology, maths, geography.
English –
- It was easy.
- Reading comprehensions were easier than CBSE board exams.
- Grammar – Easy. There were questions on synonyms, antonyms, figure of speech, sequence in sentences.
Sociology
- Easier than mock test.
- Comprehension based questions were there.
- Questions were directly from NCERT.
- There was a question on who wrote this book.
Legal Studies – Arbitrations and mediations was moderate, rest was easier.
Maths – The paper was moderate. It was not of JEE level. It was much easier than JEE Mains. The only difficulty was to attempt 40 questions in 45 minutes. So it was lengthy but not difficult.
Political Science – All NCERT based questions. Mostly case based questions. There were two cases, from which questions were asked.
Business Studies – More application based questions.
In this shift, each student has appeared in one language from section IA, maximum 2 domain specific subjects from section II and 1 general test from section III.

The CUET UG is an online exam. Therefore students do not get question papers with them after the exam. Thus, just after exam, analysis and review are very important. Educators and coaching centers provide analysis of the question paper to help students understand the difficulty level of this shift. CUET 15th July 2022 Shift 1 Answer Key
NTA will release the official answer key of CUET 2022 phase 1 a few days after exam. It is not yet clear whether the answer key of phase 1 and phase 2 will be released separately or together. Higher chances are that the answer key should be published for both phases together. In that case, students can expect the CUET answer key for 15th July 2022 shift 1 around 13 August.
However until then, you can check the answer keys with the memory based question paper compilation here after exam. The memory based answer keys are published by institutes. Those who appeared in the exam can use the answer key to calculate marks by adding 5 marks for correct answers, and deducting -1 as negative marking for incorrect answers. And those who have exam in other dates, shifts of phase 1 or in phase 2 can use the CUET 15th July 2022 Shift 1 Question Paper, Answer Key to prepare for their shift.
