DASA Important Dates 2020 – NITK Surathkal has revised the dates of Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA). To appear for DASA, the candidate has to match the eligibility criteria and fill the application form online through the official website, dasanit.org, as per the deadlines in the DASA 2020 schedule. DASA Important Dates 2020
The schedule of DASA 2020 for UG and PG programme is different. The table below has all the dates of DASA 2020. Also, there are deadlines to send in the SAT scores for DASA. Admission via DASA is based on SAT scores only. The candidates who cannot send in their SAT scores as per the deadlines are not eligible for admission.

Deadlines to Send the SAT scores for DASA 2020
There are 3 deadlines to send the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores. The deadlines are given in the table below:

Note: The candidates who have taken multiple attempts in SAT Subject Tests can send all their valid scores to NITK Surathkal directly through College Board, USA. The best scores out of all the attempts are taken into consideration for calculating the total score for merit list preparation.
How to send the SAT scores? The candidates must send in their SAT scores to NITK Surathkal through College Board, USA before the last date.
DASA 2020 Seat Allotment
As the application form process ends, seat allotment process begins. Allotment of the institution and course will be made as per the choices made by the applicant in his/her application form. However, candidates are given preferences as per their merit. Higher merit results in the seat allotment in the higher priority indicated by the candidates in their Application form and vice – versa
There are three rounds of allotment and one spot round conducted by DASA. Candidates have three options in each round.
- Accept – Choosing this option means candidate is accepting the allotted Institute/Course.
- Decline – Choosing this option means candidate is not interested in the offer made. By pressing Decline you lose your right for any further seat allotment in Round 2, Round 3 and 4.
- Accept and Upgrade – Candidate must select this option if he/she is accepting the allotted seats but interested to be considered in further round allotment for upgradation of institute/course as per the original choices given at the time of filling the application.
Reporting at the Institute
A provisional Admission letter gets generated on the official website for all those candidates who is allotted a seat. Candidates have to report to their allotted institute with a print copy of the Provisional Admission letter and other necessary documents.
Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin/ Non – Resident Indians/ Overseas Citizen gets admission in NITs, IIITs, IIEST, SPAs, Central Universities and other technical institutions through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA). Admission is given to candidates in UG courses on the basis of JEE Main and admission in PG is given on the basis of GRE/GMAT score. Participating institutes make the offer on the basis of the candidate’s merit. All the participating institutions of DASA 2020 comes among the top ranked institutions of India.
