Lakhs of students are waiting for DU Admission Form 2018. Delhi University has confirmed that they are launching online admission form today at 5 PM. Candidates can start filling form at DU UG admission portal login which is admission.du.ac.in from 15 May 2018, 5 PM. From this date and time onwards to until 7 Jun 2018, one can submit DU application form 2018. On the last date, form will end at 5 PM.
Delhi University Admission 2018 is one of the largest university admissions in India. Being in the capital of the country, students from all over India apply to DU. Not only its location, but the fact that its colleges and courses are ranked high from an academic exposure, faculty, future scope standpoint also contribute to DU’s popularity. Last year, around 3,20,000 students had applied.
Delhi University Admission 2018 Application Form Can Be Filled From 15 May 2018 (5 PM); First Cut Off On 19 June
DU will release the first cutoff list on 19 Jun 2018. Those who clear DU first cut off 2018 can get admission from 19 to 21 Jun 2018. After that, the university will release DU second cut off 2018 on 25 Jun 2018. Once again those who qualify can complete admission formalities from 25 to 27 Jun 2018.
Then the University of Delhi will publish DU third cut off 2018 on 30 Jun 2018. Admission dates under this third list are 30 Jun to 3 Jul 2018. Please note that there will not be any admissions on Sundays. Following third list, DU fourth cut off 2018 will come on 6 Jul 2018. Admissions for this list will be done until 9 Jul 2018.
Then the DU fifth cut off 2018 will be published on 12 Jul 2018 and its admission shall take place until 14 Jul 2018. Delhi University has insofar only confirmed only five cut offs. If reports are to be believed then the university may close admissions after fifth list. After that DU will conduct central counselling for seats that remain vacant. More details on central counselling will come soon; this will be the first time that such a thing takes place in DU admissions.
Looking at admission trends in University of Delhi, one can see that admission in top colleges usually close by third or fourth lists, but many seats in other colleges remain vacant. Therefore until last year the university released 11 lists.
Students get exactly twenty four days to fill and submit DU admission form 2018. All should take care to enter correct and verifiable details in the application form. It is also important to note that no one can fill multiple form. If there is any error, then students can edit the form in online mode only until they pay fees.
Complete DU Admission 2018 Application Form Before Last Date
Last date to apply is 7 Jun 2018. Application form will close at exactly 5 PM on last date. All candidates should fill and submit their forms before it.
In DU application form 2018, candidates also have to fill their board results 2018 marks. However many boards have not yet announced results; even CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) will announce CBSE 12th result 2018 around 26 May 2018. So candidates who are yet to get their result need not worry; they need to select awaited option in academic status. They can later fill marks. All students who complete registration get a text message confirming online registration.
An interesting thing to note is that students can now fill a single form for DU Admission 2018 (Merit Based), and DU Admission 2018 (Entrance Exam Based).
Considering that many students have different confusions regarding admission process, DU also initiates the open days. In DU open days, candidates can visit the open day venue and get their queries solved by authorities. Open days are from 21 to 29 May 2018.
The most popular courses in DU are BA (Hons) English in which 1,24,220 had applied. Close in popularity is BCom for which 1,04,975 registered. Overall 1,34,847 applied for BA and 95,497 for BA (Hons) Political Science.
As per DU admission statistics, maximum students who apply are from Delhi; last year 1,20,514 had applied. Many also apply from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Kerala. A year ago 62,024 applied from UP, 38,702 registered from Haryana, 10,783 submitted forms from Bihar, and 2,502 applied from Kerala.
