Candidates seeking admission in various Broad and Super Specialities have to fill the Application Form online from here. The selection of the candidates for the courses will be based on marks secured in the examination.

National Board of Examination has released the admit card for DNB final examination for both post “Board specialty and Super specialty” as per the schedule. Candidates who have completed all the relevant formalities can download the admit cards from the link given below which is provided below.

Application Form 2019

The application process for DNB Final Exam June 2019 has been done as per the scheduled date. Candidates had been advised must ensure their eligibility criteria before filling the Application Form.

Eligibility Criteria

For DNB Candidates of SS courses:
Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations
accredited institute or any medical college/university recognized Institute after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per registration letter) training as DNB
trainee as per the following schedule can undertake the DNB Final Examination in the same specialty subjected to completion of training by the date mentioned & submission of a certificate to this effect.

  • Cut off date for completion of DNB training 30th November 2019

Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre-requisite. In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate (as per applicable format given in Annexure III & IV) with the hard copy of printed application form, his/her application may be rejected and fees forfeited.

DM/MCh Candidates:

  • Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and DM/M.Ch degree has been awarded on or before 30 April 2019 can apply for the DNB Final examination in same super specialty.
  • Submission of proof of having DM/M.Ch degree on or before April 30, 2019 is an essential prerequisite. In case the candidate does not submit the requisite proof of DM/M.Ch degree his/her candidature shall be canceled & fees forfeited. The requisite document/s should be submitted to NBE latest by 7 May 2019 at the following address: National Board of Examinations, Ansari Nagar, Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Ring Road), New Delhi-110029.

Final Examination (Direct 6 years courses):

Candidates who joined DNB course in Plastic surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Cardiothoracic surgery or
Neurosurgery (Direct 6 years courses) and have successfully qualified Part-I examination as direct 6 years candidates can take Part–II (Final) Examination on completion of 5 years of DNB training subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

Part-II (Final)

Candidates who have successfully qualified Part – I examination can take Part–II (Final) Examination on completion of 5 years of DNB training subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Part–II (Final) Examination is common for candidates of 3 years and 6 years DNB courses in the respective super specialties. However, Paper-I shall be exempted for candidates of Direct 6-year courses.

Note: All DNB candidates registered with the Board have to submit a self- attested copy of the registration letter/registration number issued by NBE alongwith the hard copy of printed application form for final exam. Request for extension in cutoff date for completion of training for the purpose of eligibility determination for DNB final Examination shall not be considered.

For DNB Candidates of BS courses:

DNB Candidates:

Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations
accredited institute or any medical college/university recognized Institute after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per registration letter) training as DNB
trainee as per the following schedule can undertake the DNB Final Examination in the same specialty subjected to completion of training by the date mentioned & submission of a certificate to this effect.

MD/MS:

Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and
MD/MS degree has been awarded on or before 30 April 2019 can apply for the DNB Final examination in same broad specialty.
Submission of proof of having MD/MS degree on or before April 30, 2019, is an essential prerequisite. In case the candidate does not submit the requisite proof of MD/MS degree his/ her candidature shall be
canceled & fees forfeited. The requisite document/s should be submitted to NBE latest by May 07, 2019.

Post Diploma:

Candidates who are registered with NBE and completing their prescribed training (as per the registration letter) by November 30, 2019 are eligible to appear in DNB final Examination. Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre- requisite. In case the candidate does not submit the training, Completion certificate and leave records (as per applicable format given in Annexure III & IV) with the hard copy of printed application form, his/ her application may be rejected and fees forfeited.

Candidates not completing their DNB training at the time of submitting the online application are required to submit provisional training completion certificate as per format in Annexure-III along with leave
records and also required to submit Annexure-IV within 15 days of completion of their training. Such candidates shall be provisionally allowed to appear for DNB Examination at sole discretion of NBE and
subject to compliance of eligibility criteria prescribed.

Exam Pattern

The DNB Final June 2019 exam will consist of four papers. Each paper will be of 100 marks. Students must go through the exam pattern and information from below:

Theory Exam

  • There will be 10 short notes in each of the papers.
  • The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
  • The students must obtain a minimum of 200 marks out of 400 in the aggregate of 4 papers if they want to qualify the theory examination.

Practical Exam

  • The maximum marks for the practical examination are 300.
  • The practical examination consists of clinical examination and viva.
  • The students must obtain a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 to qualify for the Practical examination.
  • The students will be given a maximum of three attempts to appear for the practical examination.
  • If a candidate is absent for the practical examination, then it will be counted as an attempt.
  • It is necessary to appear for the first practical examination.

Result

The result of DNB Final Exam June 2019 will be announced as per the schedule. Candidates will able to check their result from official website. To check the result and download the scorecard, candidates have to enter their Roll No. & Date of Birth.

  2. Hi, Although window of Admit card for DNB final exam broad speciality is open , we arent able to download admit card. After logging windows says admit card is still in process.
    Do you have any idea, when would DNB release admit card.
