DU BAMS / BUMS Admission 2020 through NEET
DU BAMS / BUMS Admission 2020 – Faculty of Medical Science, DU offer admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) 5½ years Course for the academic year 2020-21 in the country through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency. Candidates will be admitted in the given courses on the basis of marks / merit of NEET. All aspirants of admission to BAMS / BUMS courses are advised to appear in the NEET 2020. Eligibility Criteria
Age limit:
- The candidates should have completed the age of 17 (seventeen) years on or before the December 31 of that year.
- The upper age limit is 25 years. However, there is 5 year relaxation for candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC and NCL category.
Nationality
- Indian Nationals / OCI and Foreign Nationals can also appear.
Educational Qualification for 85% D.U. Quota
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS): The candidates seeking admission to BAMS Course should have passed Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination(C.B.S.E.) / Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English or any other equivalent qualification recognised by the University with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English from the recognised school conducting regular classes (except Patrachar Vidhyalaya & Open School) situated within the NCT of Delhi only. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.
Note:
- The candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BAMS course under SC / ST / OBC categories must obtain 40% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth Board examination.
- Provided that the student has passed in all the subjects separately required for purpose of admission to BAMS Course.
- The candidate who has passed Sanskrit as a subject at the qualifying examination will be exempted from taking Sanskrit in 1st Prof. BAMS Course.
- For admission to the above courses, he/she should have passed Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects at qualifying examination or High School/ Matriculation/Secondary examination or equivalent.
- The candidates belonging to General PwD category must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, PwD-SC/PWD-ST/PWD-OBC categories must have obtained a minimum 40% marks in the qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS): The candidates seeking admission to BUMS Course must have passed Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination (C.B.S.E.)(12 year course)/Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or any other Equivalent recognized examination thereto with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed one language except S.U.P.W. from the recognized school conducting regular classes (except Patrachar Vidhyalaya & Open School) situated within the NCT of Delhi only.While deciding the merit the marks obtained in the English or language will not be taken into consideration.
Note:
- The candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BUMS course under SC/ST/OBC categories must obtain 40% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth Board examination.
- Provided that the student has passed in all the. Subjects separately required for purpose of the admission in BUMS Course.
- For admission to above course, he/she must have passed Urdu as a subject either at the qualifying examination or High School/ Matriculation/Secondary Examination or equivalent.
- The candidates belonging to General PwD category must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, PwD-SC/PWD-ST/PWD-OBC categories must have obtained a minimum 40% marks in the qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
Educational Qualification for 15% All India Quota
The candidates must have passed the prescribed qualifying examination from a recognised Indian University/Boards conducting regular classes from a recognised School (except Patrachar & Open School).
Application Form
Application Form will be available for BAMS / BUMS course in Faculty of Medical Science, Delhi Univesity. Qualified NEET 2020 candidates will fill the application form for DU BAMS / BUMS Admission 2020 online. Admission to BAMS / BUMS course will be done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 to be conducted by the NTA, Delhi. Candidates should note that no correction or modification is allowed in the DU BAMS / BUMS application from after submission.
DU BAMS / BUMS Reservation Criteria
The competent authority has also reserved some DU BAMS / BUMS seats for the socially / economic backward strata. They are as follows.

DU BAMS / BUMS Merit List 2020
Admission to BAMS / BUMS course will be done on the basis of All India Rank Merit List releases bt NTA. Faculty of Medical Science, Delhi University admits students based on the merit scored in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) only.
Delhi University will release the list of selected candidates on the basis of marks / merit scored by them in NEET 2020 examination. Thereafter, provisional Merit list will be released by the Delhi University to select candidates for the admission in BAMS / BUMS in DU for academic year 2020-21. Provisional Merit list will be released in the following manner.
- Common merit will be released for 15% All India Quota in the BAMS course.
- Common merit will be released for 15% All India Quota in the BUMS course.
- Common merit will be released for 85% Delhi Quota in the BAMS course.
- Common merit will be released for 85% Delhi Quota in the BUMS course
