The Delhi University (DU) is one of the top most University in India. A huge number of students are appearing every year to take admission in various courses of DU. But only few are able to get a seat in their desirous course. The university provides many courses through entrance examination and one of them is Masters in Education Programme (M.Ed).
DU CIE M.Ed. Admission 2018
The DU will conducts an entrance examination for the admission in M.Ed. It is a full time 2 year course, Aspirants who are seeking to take admission in DU M.Ed programme can apply for M.Ed through online registration process which will be available on the official website of Delhi University.
Eligibility Criteria for DU CIE M.Ed
There will be some eligibility criteria which has to be fulfill by the candidates. Candidates applying for the course should have secured 50% aggregate in BE.d/ B.A B.Ed/ BSc B.Ed/ B.BI.Ed/ D.DI.Ed(with an undergraduate degree with 50% marks). Reservation of seats in the following programme will be according to the norms of central/ state government whichever is applicable.
Required age
There is no upper age limit for the admissions in DU M.Ed programme as per the norms of University of Delhi.
DU CIE M.Ed Application Process
The online application process for the admission in DU M.Ed will be started from 2nd week of June 2018. Candidates can registering yourself by following these simple steps of registration:
Step-1 Firstly go to the official website of Delhi University at http://admission.du.ac.in. Candidates will be required to check their eligibility as per the conditions mentioned in the prospectus available at www.du.ac.in
Step-2 After checking all the details register yourself by clicking on the new user registration on the right hand side of the page. Read the instruction window carefully and agree it by a tick mark.
Step-3 Fill in the login details such as your email, password and mobile number and applicant’s details as mentioned in the 10th merit certificate (your name, nationality, date of birth mother’s/father’s name etc)
Step-4 Recheck all the details carefully before submitting and after checking, click the registration button given below.
Registration Fee
Registered candidates have to pay the registration fee mentioned below for each category:
- For SC/ST/PwD- Rs. 250
- For General/OBC and other categories- Rs 500
Note: Entrance fee has to be paid by debit or credit card only.
Admit Card DU M.Ed
The Admit card will be available as per the official announcement by Delhi University on its official website at www.du.ac in. Candidates shall be able to download their admit cards from official website.
Selection Procedure
Selection of the eligible candidates will be based on written examination carrying 400 marks. A merit list will be prepared of selected candidates according to the marks obtained by them. Duration of the exam will be of 2 hours containing 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 4 marks each. There will be negative marking and 1 mark would be deducted for each wrong answer.
All the selected candidates will be required to bring the following documents mentioned below along with the attested copy of each at the time of admission:
- High School/Secondary School Certificate for the purpose of verification of age.
- Mark sheets of all qualified examinations
- Certificate of examination(s) passed
- Study leave (wherever applicable)
- Reserved category certificates
- Character certificate from institution last attended
Result DU M.Ed

Seat Reservation
Candidates will have to compete for only 50 seats available for DU ME.d programme. Here is an overview regarding seat distribution for various categories:
