DU JAT 2018 Application Form

The application form for DU JAT has been released on www.du.ac.in. The candidates will only be able to access and submit it online. The candidates are required to submit personal, educational, and communicational details in the application form. The candidates must keep ready an e-mail id and phone number. It will be required while submitting the application form. Furnishing unauthentic details in the application form will harm the candidature.

DU JAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

The eligibility criteria of DU JAT 2018 is to be fulfilled by all the candidate. It is as mentioned below:

  • The candidate must have appeared and qualified Senior Secondary School Exam.
  • There is no minimum age bar for admission in DU JAT 2018
  • Aggregate of 60% marks in the qualifying examination based on a simple average of the percentage scored in four subjects: one language English, Mathematics and any two other subjects included in List provided below.
  • One language English, Mathematics and two other subjects included in List A.

DU JAT Exam Pattern 2018

The entrance examination shall be conducted on June 22, 2018 in two shifts.

The question papers of each shift will be different to give a fair and level competition. This may lead to slight differences in difficulty level on each shift. To ensure that comparison of marks is fair, marks will be normalized by using the EquiPercentile Equating procedure.

The entrance exam will be of two hours duration based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) (four choices each) designed to evaluate the aptitude of the applicants. The following areas are included in the entrance test:

  • Quantitative Ability
  • Reasoning and Analytical Ability
  • General English
  • Business and General Awareness

There will 100 questions. Each correct answer will get a score of plus 4 marks, each wrong answer will get a score of minus 1 mark and question not answered will get a score of zero marks.

DU JAT 2018 Selection

The scores of candidates taking up the entrance examination shall be subjected to a Normalization Process called EquiPercentile Equating (which is a widely adopted & internationally accepted method of score normalization in multi-batch examinations). The percentile ranks so derived & equated will be used as input criteria to finalise the merit list.

Normalization of marks will be done after test on all shifts are concluded for the same subject. Merit ranking of candidates will be done on the basis of normalized marks. The following factors are important in determining the merit ranking.

  1. Number of test takers
  2. The difficulty level of examination
  3. Maximum marks obtained in the examination.
  4. Average score obtained by candidates.
