Admissions So Far
As per reports, the number of candidates who have already taken admission in Delhi University is 26,291.
The number of seats in Delhi University are 56,000. This includes seats for Arts / Humanities, Science, Commerce. Thus, you can see that the half-mark has reached.
Overall 2,78,544 students have applied to Delhi University. 51.8% are women applicants. 48.2% are male applicants.
Significance of DU Third Cut Off 2018
While the first cut off released by Delhi University was high, second cut off witnessed a drop of upto 5%. The third cutoff is to take forward the legacy!
The colleges start off with high percentage criteria. Then as the lists come one by one, the percentage drops. This they do keeping in mind the demand of college as well as course. In some colleges, some courses fill up in first and second lists only. However, some courses in the same colleges take several lists to get admission seekers. The 3rd list plays a crucial role in determining the direction of how much cut-offs may drop in further lists.
For students, the DU Third Cut Off 2018 is important because many look forward to lower percentages to get admission in college and course of choice.
After the list is published, students can see if they satisfy best of four percentage requirement. If yes, then they can go to the college and complete admission process.
