GATE Cutoff is the minimum score needed to qualify the exam. It is determined by the conducting body, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
IIT Guwahati decides GATE 2018 Cutoff. It is determined separately for each 23 subject paper of GATE. Even for each category, i.e. General / OBC / SC / ST / PwD, it is prepared separately. GATE 2018 Cutoff
IITs determine GATE cutoff on basis of various factors, like the number of seat in a particular course, the number of candidates applied, the number of candidates appeared, level of difficulty in the exam, and previous year cutoff.The candidates will only get to know the cutoff with the GATE 2018 Result.
GATE 2018 Cutoff: The Cutoff of GATE 2018 will be announced on the official website, gate.iitg.ac.in.
Expected GATE 2018 Cutoff
Numerous institutes and coaching centers predict the cutoff of GATE. However, the best expected cutoff is the cutoff for the last year. The minimum qualifying marks do vary each year but the rise or dip is not very vest. Hence, the candidates can check the previous year GATE cutoff to get an idea of it.

Types of GATE 2018 Cutoff
There are two types of cutoff for GATE. One is the minimum qualifying marks, on basis of which it is decided which candidates get the scorecard and shall be termed qualified. Another type of GATE cutoff is that which is that minimum normalized marks which were accepted for admission by of IITs / NITs / CFTIs. In this article, we will talk about the minimum qualify marks. How to Check GATE 2018 Cutoff
The candidates will get to know the cutoff from the Login of GATE, i.e. GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). To do so, the candidates may follow the steps below:
- Go to the official website.
- Click on GOAPS link.
- Enter Enrollment ID / Email Address, Password, and Captcha.
- Tab ‘Submit’ button.
- Check your score and minimum qualifying marks in GATE 2018.
Candidates should note that they will only be able to see their GATE 2018 cutoff for their subject paper. The cutoff for other subject papers will not be mentioned on their result.
GATE 2018 Result
Now that we know about the GATE 2018 Cutoff, let us know where will it be used. Actually, the cutoff is required delimit the candidates for admission. The Result of GATE is announced for all the candidates but, on the basis of cutoff, the candidates are segregated for the issuance of the scorecard. Hence, all the candidates will be able to check their result, so, should know about it.
GATE 2018 Result: The result of GATE 2018 will be available online, at GOAPS. The candidates will get to know their raw score out of 100, GATE 2018 Cutoff, and All India Rank via it.
GATE 2018 Scorecard: The scorecard of GATE will also be issued online, via GOAPS. Candidates will be able to download it from March 20 to May 31, 2018. The scorecard will remain valid for 3 years and will need it during admission and PSU Recruitment.
