In a surprising turn of events, 3 days before the initial declaration date of GATE 2020, IIT Delhi is declared the GATE 2020 result. With the result, the toppers of the exam have been revealed for all the 25 subject paper of GATE 2020. This time there are 2 toppers from Civil Engineering paper, 2 in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and 2 in Instrumentation Engineering. Hence, in total there are 29 toppers.

GATE 2020 Toppers
This year, 6.8 lakh candidates took GATE 2020 exam. Of them, 18.8% have qualified it, as per the official state by IIT Delhi that conducted the exam this year. The toppers of GATE 2020 for all the papers are as follows:

GATE 2020 Result – How to check?
To check the result of GATE 2020 candidates gave to access the portal of GOAPS and enter their login details. The steps to check the result are as follows:
Step 1: Click on the direct link for GOAPS or visit GATE official website, gate.iitd.ac.in.
Step 2: On GOAPS, please enter the login details that are GATE enrollment id / e-mail id and password.
Step 3: Next under the login fo the candidates, the link to check the GATE result is made available
Step 4: Click on the link and check the result of GATE 2020.
What Are the Qualifying Marks of GATE 2020?
This are the minimum marks that the candidates have to score to pass the GATE 202 exam. The cutoff of the exam is provided with the result of the exam. As per the reports that the newest paper of GATE 2020, which is the Biomedical Engineering paper, has the cut off marks of 25 for general/ EWS category, 22.5 for OBC category and 16.6 for SC/ ST/ PwD category.

Now that the GATE 2020 Result is out, what next?
Now that the resit has been declared. here is what the next step for the aspirants is:
A) Knowing the qualification status: With the declaration of the result, the cutoff marks to qualify the exam has been also declared for all the 25 papers and all the category of students. The candidates have to check whether their GATE 2020 score is less than or equal to the qualifying marks. If yes, the candidates have qualified the paper. If not then they have failed to pass the exam.
B) Downloading the GATE 2020 scorecard: The scorecard of GATE 2020 will be also available under the login of the candidates. As per the dates announced by IIT Delhi, the scorecard of GATE 2020 will be available from March 20, 2020, and the last date to download the scorecard will be March 31, 2020. The scorecard of GATE 2020 will be valid for 3 years from its date of issuance.
C) Admission in the IITs and NITs: The qualified candidates have to appear for the admission process at the IITs and NITs. For the NITs the admission is based on CCMT counselling and for the IITs the admission offer is given via COAP.
