Number of numerical questions: 24
Good attempts: 45+
Expected cutoff: 25 around. Cutoff will fall this year as per initial reactions.
Topics asked: Diode based, analog circuit, Mosfet, machine, suguna machine, power system, chopper related questions, cylindrical coordinate, signal systems, load flow.
Microprocessor questions were asked that was a surprise. As this topic was asked after 3 to 4 years in GATE EE paper.
Weightage of topics:
- 9 to 10 question came from EMT and analog electronics. They were tough and had good weightage. Candidates attempting these questions correctly can expect a good score.
- 14 to 15 questions were from signal systems. The candidates who did these questions correctly must be comfortable, as these questions are the deciding factor of this paper.
The table below gives the precentage wise distrubution of topics:
|Topics||Weightage||Marks||1 marks ques + 2 marks ques|
|Signals and systems||9%||9||(3+3)|
