From the roads of Haldwani to securing AIR 1 in Production and Industrial Engineering in GATE 2017 has been quite a journey for Anirudh Tripathi, who is pursuing his graduation from GB Pant University , PantNagar, Uttarakhand. He did his schooling from Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning, Haldwani, Uttarakhand securing 88.6% in 12th standard and says that it’s never too late to make amends to what you have done in the past.

About Anirudh

He hails from Haldwani. He completed schooling from there and was lucky enough to do his graduation from the same place. He is an automobile enthusiast and likes to play different sports but has an inclination towards Hockey. He lives with his mother and his sister who is pursuing B.tech in ECE.
He stated the motive behind appearing for GATE as :
“Since I have a great interest in subjects related to my branch and my father also wanted me to do some work in the field of engineering.This is my real motivation for appearing in the gate.”
Anirudh did share his feelings about GATE 2017 and this is what he said:
“It feels great to have been paid off well for all my efforts.”
GATE Exam Experience
“I was very much pumped up. I took my mind into win-win situation state which made me relaxed and calm. I was very much familiar with the gate exam as I have given many online mock test. I only focussed on accuracy which made me to break 10 year record of scoring highest marks in Production and Industrial Engineering gate examination.”
Other Questions Asked to Anirudh Were:
1. There are lot of students who are apprehensive about the online pattern. In your opinion, is format something to be worried about?
No. I prefer this format since it is very unbiased but it requires regular practice of online mock test. There is no need to worry about the user interface, it is very user friendly.
2. According to you how was the exam? Was it easy or was it tough?
It was easy as compared to last 5 year papers and basically requires accuracy.
3. Any suggestions/ advice to the Aspiring GATE Students?
Plan and then work. Stick to your plan and don't let anything distract you from your work. Punctuality is the key.
