Gauhati University Law Admission 2018 – BA LLB, Three Year LLB

Candidates who wants admission into the First semester of Five years integrated B.A.,LLB.,/B.A.,LLB (hons.) & three year LL.B. Eligibility Criteria

Three Year Law Degree Course ( LL.B )

Candidate should have graduated in any discipline of Knowledge from a Recognised University or foreign university recognised as equivalent to the status of an Indian university.

Five Year Integrated Degree Program B.A.,LLB.,/B.A.,LLB (hons.)

Candidate should have successfully Completed senior Secondary School course or equivalent from a recognised University or from the senior secondary Board with minimum of 45% marks in case of general Category and 40% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC applicants.

Age Limit

LL.B Course – Maximum age for seeking admission for General Candidates is 30 years and 35 years for SC, ST and OBC Candidates as on 01 Jun 2018 or as per latest notification of bar council of India.

B.A.,LLB.,/B.A.,LLB (hons.) –  Maximum age for seeking admission for General Candidates is 20 years and 22 years for SC, ST and OBC Candidates as on 01 Jun 2018 or as per latest notification of bar council of India.

Application Form

Application process was over. The last date for receiving applications, complete in all respects, for admission fixed as per schedule given above. Before filling in the Admission Form, please read it and also go through cautiously the eligibility conditions of the relevant course in which you are seeking Admission. Form incomplete in any respect or without requisite fee and documents, will not be considered for admission.

Additional Prescribed form Candidate seeking admission under any reserved/quota viz. differently Abled, son/daughter of permanent G.U Employee in services, son/daughter of G.U Ex Employees, son.Daughter of Ex-Defence Personal, fringe village and extra-curricular activities, must submit the respective additional prescribed form, obtainable from the Gauhati University press(GUP) on the payment of Rs 50 only. The form will be submitted at the office of the Principal, University Law College, Gauhati University.

Application Fee – Applicant will be required pay of Rs 300 only and an Entrance fee of Rs  200 only as per applicable using online SBI challan to be generated at the time of submission of the online form in any SBI branch. Bank charges will have to borne by the applicants.

Examination Scheme

Candidate will be selected on the basis of Entrance examination( ULCET-2018)  which will be conducted by Gauhati University as per the schedule.

100 marks ( MCQ 80 marks and Descriptive 20 marks)

Selection Procedure

Candidate has to obtain at least 40% marks out of total marks in the Entrance Examination to be eligible for admission. Amongst those candidates who have obtained at least 40% marks out of total marks in the Entrance Examination, the provisional selection list for admission will be prepared on merit basis.
