Latest Announcement – It is hereby notified to all concerned that 4 seats of LLB 3 years law course are declared vacant on account of failure to deposit the required admission fee by the 4 provisionally selected candidates.
The 4 seats lying vacant will be filled up from the candidates in select / waiting list on merit basis. All the interested candidates are hereby requested to report to the office on 18 Aug 2017 at 1 PM. Admission process will be commenced at 2 PM onwards till 4 PM.

Candidates who wants admission into the First semester of Five years integrated B.A.,LLB.,/B.A.,LLB (hons.) & three year LL.B. Degree programmes for the academic session 2017-18 have to qualify Entrance Examination in order to gate admission. Interested Candidates are advised to apply within the stipulated time frame.

The last date for receiving applications, complete in all respects, for admission has been fixed as per schedule given above. Before filling in the Admission Form, please read it and also go through cautiously the eligibility conditions of the relevant course in which you are seeking Admission. Form incomplete in any respect or without requisite fee and documents, will not be considered for admission.

Additional Prescribed form – Candidate seeking admission under any reserved/quota viz. differently Abled, son/daughter of permanent G.U Employee in services, son/daughter of G.U Ex Employees, son.Daughter of Ex-Defence Personal, fringe village and extra-curricular activities, must submit the respective additional prescribed form, obtainable from the Gauhati University press(GUP) on the payment of Rs 50 only. The form is to be submitted at the office of the Principal, University Law College, Gauhati University till 21 July 2017 (up to 4:00p.m).
Application Fee – Applicant are required pay of Rs 300 only and an Entrance fee of Rs 200 only as per applicable using online SBI challan to be generated at the time of submission of the online form in any SBI branch. Bank charges will have to borne by the applicants.
Three Year Law Degree Course ( LL.B )
Candidate should have graduated in any discipline of Knowledge from a Recognised University or foreign university recognised as equivalent to the status of an Indian university.
Five Year Integrated Degree Program B.A.,LLB.,/B.A.,LLB (hons.)
Candidate should have successfully Completed senior Secondary School course or equivalent from a recognised University or from the senior secondary Board with minimum of 45% marks in case of general Category and 40% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC applicants.
LL.B Course – Maximum age for seeking admission for General Candidates is 30 years and 35 years for SC, ST and OBC Candidates as on 1 jun 2017 or as per latest notification of bar council of India.
B.A.,LLB.,/B.A.,LLB (hons.) – Maximum age for seeking admission for General Candidates is 20 years and 22 years for SC, ST and OBC Candidates as on 1 Jun 2017 or as per latest notification of bar council of India.
Candidate will be selected on the basis of Entrance examination( ULCET-2017) which will be conducted by Gauhati University as per the schedule.

Total Marks –100 marks ( MCQ 80 marks and Descriptive 20 marks)
General Knowledge: 30 Marks (1 x 30)
General English & Comprehension : 10 Marks (1 x 10)
Elementary Math (Numerical Ability) : 10 Marks (1 x 10)

Candidate has to obtain at least 40% marks out of total marks in the Entrance Examination to be eligible for admission. Amongst those candidates who have obtained at least 40% marks out of total marks in the Entrance Examination, the provisional selection list for admission will be prepared on merit basis.
