Goa College of Home Science Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to 1st year of B.Sc program, following eligibility conditions must be met.
- The candidate must have passed HSSC (higher Secondary School Certificate) Exam of the Goa Board or any other equivalent exam in the following streams: Arts, Science, Commerce or vocational.
- Those coming from a Board other than HSSC Examination Board, Goa or Universities other than Goa University must obtain the “Eligibility Certificate” from Registrar, Goa University.
- The candidates with provisional eligibility certificate are given admission, subject to the condition that he/she obtains the final Certificate of eligibility before the academic term closes.
For SYB.Sc (Home Science): To be eligible for second year B.Sc (Home Science) exams, the students must have
- passed 1st year exams in Home Science
- must have 2 terms at a college/institution that is recognized by University of Home Science.
For TYB.Sc (Home Science): To be eligible for third year B.Sc (Home Science) exams, the students must have
- passed 1st and 2nd year exams in Home Science
- must have 2 terms at a college/institution that is recognized by University of Home Science.

The students have to submit the completed application form personally or through registered post to the Principal of Goa College of Home Science. Certified copies of following documents must be attached with the application form.

Goa College of Home Science Admission 2020 Admission Process

- The candidates who are offered admission have to pay the course fee within the prescribed date. Failure to pay the fee before deadline results in cancellation of the admission offer.
- If it is found out later that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, admission is cancelled.
- If any information furnished by a candidate is found to be incorrect, the candidate is liable to be dismissed from the college. In such a scenario, fee paid by him/her is forfeited.
About Goa College of Home Science
GCHS is the only college in the state of Goa that offers admission to Home Science programs. It was established in July, 1988. The college is affiliated to Goa University and gets its funding from the state government. Goa College of Home Science places lot of emphasis on sports & extra co-curricular activities in addition to the academic program. The institute also has an active NSS unit, a Consumer Welfare Cell, Nature Club and Continuing Education Cell.
