GPAT 2021 – National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for the candidates who want to take entry in M.Pharm programs. GPAT 2021 is a computer-based test. Only those candidates can apply for GPAT 2021 who have completed their graduation in B.Pharm. It is one of the biggest India’s national level entrance examination for the students who want to take admission in M.Pharm. More than 800+ colleges accept GPAT scores. GPAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Check the eligibility criteria for GPAT 2021 given below.
Nationality: The candidates must be citizen of India.
Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for GPAT 2021.
- The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized university.
- The candidates who are in the final year of their B.Pharm degree and whose result will be declared before the starting of the academic session for 2021 can also apply.
- The candidates who have done B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) or equivalent cannot apply for GPAT 2021.
Note: The candidates must have completed 4 years of Graduation after completing 10+2 including Lateral Entry students.
GPAT 2021 Application Form
The candidates can fill GPAT application form via online mode only at gpat.nta.nic.in. Given below are the steps to fill GPAT 2021 application form.
Step 1: Register
The candidates will have to register only by providing the name, father’s name. mother’s name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, address etc.
Step 2: Login
After the registration is completed, the candidates have to login with the credentials sent at their contact number and e-mail id and proceed with filling the application form.
Step 3: Upload the images
Once all the details have been entered, upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the application form.
Step 4: Pay the application fee
After uploading the images, pay the application fee.
Step 5: Printout of the confirmation page
After the payment of the application fee, take 2-3 printouts of confirmation page.
Step 6: Select the examination city
Once the confirmation page is generated, select the examination city for GPAT 2021.
Application Fee: The candidates can pay the application fee for GPAT 2021 using debit card / credit card / net banking / UPI services / Paytm.

GPAT 2021 Admit Card
Admit card for GPAT releases online at gpat.nta.nic.in. The candidates can download GPAT 2021 admit card by entering the application number and date of birth / password. GPAT admit card is an important document that has to be carried positively to the exam centre as without having it, candidates cannot take entry in the examination hall. It consists of the details like roll number, exam date, exam time, reporting time, gate closing time, general instructions for the candidates etc.
On the day of examination, the candidates are required to take the following documents as well along with the printed copy of GPAT 2021 admit card.
- one passport size photograph
- a valid id proof (aadhar card / voter id / driving license / passport / ration card / PAN card)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
Guidelines to Follow on GPAT 2021
There are some instructions that candidates have to follow on the day of examination. Check the points given below for the same:
- The candidates must report the examination center 02 hours before the commencement of the exam.
- The registration desk closes 60 minutes before the exam starts. So, manage the time accordingly.
- The candidates must sit on the allocated seat only.
- Until the exam is over, candidates cannot leave the examination hall without the permission of the invigilator.
- Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc is prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Candidates who wear metallic items like Kara, Kirpan must reach the exam center 1.5 hours before the commencement of the exam.
GPAT 2021 Exam Centre
The candidates must note that the selection of the examination city can be done only after the payment of GPAT application fee. The allotment of the exam centres is done on first-come-first-serve-basis. Before submitting the fee, the candidates must check the availability of seats in that particular city. However, it may be noted that if the last few seats are available in a city then, it might get filled by the time candidates pay the application fee.
The request for the change in the exam city will be not be entertained once the city is locked. Check the list of the exam centres for GPAT 2021 given below.

GPAT 2021 Answer Key
NTA releases GPAT answer key at gpat.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download GPAT 2021 answer key by entering their application number, date of birth / password. Along with the answer key, GPAT question papers are also published. The candidates can use the answer key and question paper to calculate the scores for GPAT 2021.
The candidates get a one-time facility to challenge GPAT answer key if they find any errors in it. To submit the challenges, the candidates have to submit Rs 1000 per question. The processing fee for submitting the challenges can be paid by debit card / credit card / net banking. After reviewing the errors, a final answer key is published by NTA.
GPAT 2021 Response Sheet
Besides releasing the answer key and question paper for GPAT, National Testing Agency also releases the response sheet at gpat.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download GPAT 2021 response sheet by entering the application number, date of birth / password.
A response sheet is basically the sheet where all the recorded responses of the candidates are shown. The candidates can use GPAT 2021 response sheet to cross-check the answers.
GPAT 2021 Result
The candidates can check GPAT 2021 result online only at gpat.nta.nic.in. It is released in the form of a scorecard. To check GPAT 2021 result, the candidates are required to enter their application number and date of birth. The result is compiled as per the answers indicated in the final answer key. A merit list is also published with All India Rank of the qualified candidates.
If two more candidates obtain the same marks in GPAT 2021, then, the following tie-breaking criteria is applied to resolve the ties.
- Firstly, marks obtained in Pharmaceutics is considered
- Secondly, marks obtained Pharmaceutical Chemistry is taken into account if the tie is still there
- Then, if the tie still persists, the candidate with less negative marks is given preference
- Lastly, the age of the candidates is considered if the tie still persists
