Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, a Central University established by an Act 2009 of the Parliament, was originally established as State University by an Act of State Legislative Assembly of the then undivided Madhya Pradesh on 16 June 1983. GGV is an active member of the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth University. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC ) has accredited the University as B. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur invites applications for admission to the various courses through Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test (VET) and Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test (VRET) for admission to Ph.D. programme. Vishwavidyalya Entrance test
Vishwavidyalya Entrance test (VET) is an entrance test conducted by Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur. This exam is conducted annually by the university to grant admission to eligible candidates in the UG & PG courses offered by the university. VET is conducted both in Hindi and English medium except for admission in courses belonging to science stream including undergraduate courses in Forestry & Pharmacy where the medium of instruction is English. Vishwavidyalya Research Entrance test
Vishwavidyalya Research Entrance test (VRET) is also an entrance test conducted by Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur. Applicants are invited for admission to programmes leading to Doctor of Philosophy Degree in various disciplines like arts, engineering and technology, life science, natural sources etc. Application form is available both in online and offline mode.
