HPCET 2019 – Himachal Pradesh Technical University conducts HPCET for various Undergraduate and Post – Graduate Programmes such as B.Tech, MCA, MBA, B.Pharm so forth and so on. HPCET 2019 Exam Cancelled
HPCET scheduled to be held on May 11 & June 08, 2019, has now been cancelled due to administrative reasons. Candidates who had filled the application form have to directly appear for the counselling and other admission processes. Candidates are advised to visit this page and official website of HPTU for latest updates.
HPCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
It is important for the candidates to match with the eligibility requirements for HPCET 2019. In order to apply for HPCET 2019, candidates should meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the governing authority.
B.Tech:
Passed / Appeared in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized university with Mathematics or Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects such as Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
BBA:
Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
BCA:
Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
BHMCT / B.Sc. (HM & CT):
Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
M.Sc. (Physics):
Passed bachelor degree in science with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories)in aggregate in the three years of degree or honors in the subject concerned i.e. Physics.
M.Sc. (Environmental Science):
Passed three year B.Sc. degree with Botany, Zoology / Biotechnology and Chemistry or B.Sc. Non- Medical with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories)in aggregate in the three years of degree.
M.Tech:
Passed / Appeared in Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in relevant branch of Engineering / Technology or equivalent from a recognized university securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
M.Pharmacy:
Passed / Appeared in Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized university securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
MBA / MBA (T&HM):
Passed / Appeared in Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university with minimum 3 years duration securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
MCA:
Passed / Appeared in Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university with minimum 3 years duration and Mathematics at 10+2 or at degree level securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry):
Passed / Appeared at 10+2 examination from a recognized board / university with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda):
Passed/appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board
OR
University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
HPCET 2019 Application Form
HPCET 2019 Application Form will be made available online only. Candidates will have to visit the website in order to fill the HPCET 2019 Application Form. In order to fill HPCET 2019 Application Form, candidates will have to first register themselves before the lapse of the deadline. After the registration process is complete, candidates can fill the Application Form entering the basic details, communication details and academic qualification details.
Candidates can pay the Application Fee using Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card and also via offline mode by submitting the Challan.
HPCET 2019 Admit Card
The e-admit card is available online i.e. on the official website of Himachal Pradesh Technical University which is http://www.himtu.ac.in. Candidates have to enter their Application Number in order to download HPCET 2019 Admit Card. Candidates will see a number of details on the admit card such as photograph of the candidate, complete address of the test centre, examination date.
Candidates must get the admit card duly signed by the Controller of Examinations. Candidates must keep one thing in mind that they will have to carry a Valid ID Proof with them such as Aadhar Card along with the Admit Card. Candidates have to keep in mind that they will not be allowed to sit for the examination unless and until they possess HPCET 2019 Admit Card in hand.

HPCET 2019 Exam Pattern
It is important to know HPCET 2019 Exam Pattern as it will enable the students to be aware of the scheme of marks, weightage per question etc. Candidates can have a look at the information given below in order to check HPCET 2019 Exam Pattern:
- Mode: HPCET 2019 will be conducted in single offline (pen – paper) mode.
- Nature of Questions: The questions will be multiple choice.
- Marking Scheme: Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- The question paper for B.Pharmacy, B.Tech and B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda) courses will be common. However, candidates going for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be eligible for admission to B.Tech or B.Pharmacy courses.
- Candidates who will attempt Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be eligible for admission to B.Pharmacy or B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda).
