Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) 2020 has been postponed due to COVID-19. Earlier, HSEE was supposed to take place on April 19, 2020. However, in the wake of rising number of novel coronavirus disease, it has been postponed. The new exam dates for HSEE 2020 will be informed later. HSEE is one of the many national level and state level entrance examination that got postponed because COVID-19 pandemic.
The notice regarding the postponement of the exam released on the official website of the exam, hsee.iitm.ac.in. It specified that “In the wake of COVID-19, HSEE 2020 is postponed from its proposed date which is April 19, 2020 and that the new dates will be informed later”. HSEE 2020 Admit Card Delayed
Now, considering the postponement of the exam, it can be concluded that even the release of the admit card will be delayed. Earlier, HSEE 2020 admit card was supposed to be issued on April 03, 2020. But, considering the postponement due to crisis happening all over the nation, new dates for the issuance of hall ticket will be notified on the official website.
HSEE 2020 admit card releases online at hsee.iitm.ac.in. It can be downloaded by providing details like e-mail id / user id and password. A printed copy of the admit card has to be taken to the exam centre on the day of examination. It consists of important details like name and address of the candidate, exam date, exam time, address of the exam centre etc.
Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination is conducted by IIT Madras for admission in Integrated Master’s program. After qualifying HSEE, the candidates can take admission in courses like Integrated M.A. in Development Studies and English Studies. The exam is conducted for 3 hours duration. There are 2 parts of the exam. Part 1 consists of multiple-choice questions and is a computer-based test. Part 2 is a written test, wherein, candidates have to answer essay-type questions.
What to do In the Meantime?
Until the new exam dates for HSEE 2020 are released, the candidates can follow a proper strategy for the preparation of exam. The candidates could practice more and more essay writing, can improve their knowledge in the topics like English and Comprehension, Analytical and Quantitative Ability, General Studies and Environment and Ecology as these are the topics from which questions are framed in the exam.
Do not forget to stay indoors while preparing for the exam. Talk to your mentors and friends through video conferencing in case of any doubts. Wash your hands at regular intervals and take proper 7-8 hours of sleep while preparing for the exam.
