What to do if forgot HSEE 2020 Login Password?
Forgot your Login Password? Need not to worry. You can retrieve it using following given steps:
Step 1 : Click on the “Forgot Password” given below the Login area. Refer to below given image:
Step 2 : Once you click on forgot password, a new page is opened where you have to enter your Registered Email Id as provided at the time of Registration, Registered Mobile number and Date of Birth as shown in the image below:
Step 3 : Once you enter these details , you Password is sent to your Registered email id or Mobile number.
How to check HSEE 2020 Result?
Following are the steps you need to follow in order to check your HSEE 2020 Result:
Step 1 : Visit the official website and Click on the Result section as shown in the image below:
Step 3 : Now in order to view your Result, you must enter your Register Email -ID/Login ID and Password as given in the below image.
Step 5 : Check your Result and download it for future use and reference.
HSEE 2020 Merit List and Cut off
Merit List : Merit List is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in HSEE 2020. Candidates who qualify the examination with meeting the Cut-off are added in the Merit List and are considered eligible for proceeding with the Admission.
Cut off : Candidates need to score at least 50% marks in order to qualify the exam. However, separate Rank Lists are prepared for OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories.
- Candidates belonging to OBC-NCL category must score at least 45% in order to be in the OBC-NCL rank list.
- Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories must score at least 25% in order to be in their respective rank lists.
- To be in the PwD rank list, candidates must score at least 25% in aggregate. Separate PwD rank lists will be prepared corresponding
HSEE 2020 Tie Resolving Criteria
In HSEE 2020 a candidate who scores higher aggregate marks is awarded with a better rank. In case if a Tie occurs between candidates this is resolved based on the following Criteria:
- in the aggregate marks, the candidate who scores more marks in Part II (Essay) will be given a higher rank.
- If ties occur in both Part II and aggregate marks, one who scores more marks in the “General studies” section of Part I will be given a higher rank.
- If ties occur in all of aggregate, Essay writing, and General studies marks, one who scores more marks in the “Analytical Abilities” section of Part I will receive a higher rank.
- If still the ties occur after all these tiebreaking criteria, candidate is given the same rank.
HSEE 2020 Regrading and Re-Totaling
Since Part I of the Examination is conducted via Online mode, there shall be no scope for Regrading and Re – Totalling. Same goes was Part II which is checked in highly cautiously and a confidential way. It is now shown to any candidate once submitted and shall not be considered for Regrading and Re – Totalling. The answer scripts cannot be shown to anyone except the evaluators

HSEE 2020 Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted using the rank lists and the number of seats available in each category.. If a candidate (who has been allotted a seat) declines to take admission due to some reason or does not respond to the allotment, a seat becomes vacant. Such vacant seats are allotted to the next candidate in the respective rank lists. While allotting a seat, if a candidate belongs to more than one category of relaxed norms, he/she shall be considered only in the category in which he/she gets the maximum benefit.If sufficient OBC-NCL candidates are not available, the seats will be de-reserved and open for allotment to general candidates.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) conducts The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) 2020. It is an institute of national importance established through an Act of Parliament in 1959. It offers quality education in Humanities, Sciences, Engineering, Management and Technology at UG/PG level. Admission is solely through Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE). The programme has a total of 46 seats; each stream will have 23 seats.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination or HSEE is a national level entrance test conducted every year by Indian Institute of Technology Madras for admission to the master programme offered by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) of the Institute.The test is completely computer based and is usually conducted in the second or third week of April in various cities across India.This is the only test of its kind, which admits students to a five year integrated masters programme in humanities and social sciences subjects offered by an IIT.
