Exam Results

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducted Chartered Accountants Common Proficiency Test (CPT) in December 2016, and Final in November 2016. Results of both are now out. CA CPT December 2016 Result and CA Final November 2016 Result, both, have been announced on 17 January 2017. Candidates can check ICAI results online.

CA Results are out for CPT and Finals. Heartiest congratulations to those who have cleared and qualified.Those who couldn’t, work hard, next term is there, so don’t loose heart and keep patience.

Immediately after news of result spread, thousands of students hastened to check ICAI Result 2016-2017. This led to an overload on the ICAI result web servers. The website crashed and many students were stranded. It has created some chaos among candidates who are eagerly waiting for CA CPT Dec 2016 Result or CA Final Nov 2016 Result.

We reached out to ICAI for comment. They have said, as on 3 PM, that they are trying to make results accessible as soon as possible. We expect the servers to be up and running in some time.

Number of candidates that appeared for ICAI Finals in November 2016 were as follows

Group I only: 37200 (Pass percentage: 7.14%)

Group II only: 36896 (Pass percentage: 12.32%)

Both groups: 36768 (Pass percentage: 11.57%)

As per CA Final Result, 7192 candidates have qualified to become Chartered Accountants.

Those who have cleared CA CPT Result 2016-2017 can now register for CA IPCC 2017. There are three stages in becoming a Chartered Accountant, of which clearing the CA CPT is the first stage. After this, you have to qualify CA IPCC and then CA Final. Make sure to register for IPCC 2017 course well in time to avoid delays. Study hard and become a Chartered Accountant!
