IIAT Result 2020 – Indian Institute of Astrophysics is going to offer admission to the Ph.D programme based on interview. List of shortlisted candidates is declared on the basis of Interview round and the final result can be checked on the official website under Result section. After Result declaration, Initial screening is conducted based on the overall academic performance. Shortlisted candidates shall be called for a personal interview. Final selection is based on the interview at the IIA, Bangalore campus.

Qualified candidates of IIAST are called for interview. Short-listed candidates will be interviewed at IIA Banglore.If any information is found to have been falsified in the online application, it will lead to automatic and immediate disqualification of the candidate.

How to check IIAST Result 2020 ?
Results for IIAST 2020 is released on the official website after the Interviews are conducted. List of candidates are displayed on the official website. Candidates can check their Results using simple steps stated below:
Step 1 : Visit the official website of IIAST
Step 2 : Click on the Result section for Int. M.Tech PH.D
Step 3 : Result is displayed on your screen. It will include Reg Id and Name of the candidate.
Step 4 : Check your Result and take a print out for future reference.

IIAST Selection Process 2020
Selection procedure consists of the screening test (IIAST / JEST / GATE / UGC-CSIR-NET) followed by an interview for the short-listed candidates.If your scores in IIAST / JEST / GATE / CSIR-UGC meet or exceed IIA PhD Admission cut-off marks, you will be required to attend an interview at IIA (Bangalore). Shortlisted candidates may be provided second class train fare / bus fare by the shortest route for this trip.
IIAST Scholarship & Other Allowances 2020
Students admitted to the Ph.D. programme are initially offered a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). On completion of two years as a Junior Research Fellow, a student is offered a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) after an assessment. The stipend of a JRF is Rs. 25,000/- pm, and of a SRF is Rs. 28,000/- pm in addition to an annual book grant and medical facilities. Upon submission of the Ph.D. thesis the fellowship may be further increased. Hostel accomodation is normally provided to all students. If a student opts to stay in a private accomodation, a house rent allowance is paid as per the institute rules

Students admitted to the Ph.D. programme are initially offered a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) traces its origin to a small private observatory during 1786 at Madras (Chennai), which led to the establishment of the Solar Observatory in 1899 at Kodaikanal. In 1971, the Kodaikanal Observatory was made into an autonomous institution under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. With a rich history of over 200 years, IIA is a premier institute in the country devoted to basic research, instrumentation and training in astronomy, astrophysics and related physical sciences.
