Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD) has postponed IICD Entrance Test 2020. The test is held in 2 parts. For now, only Part A has been postponed. It was scheduled to be held on April 12, 2020. However, has been pushed back due to COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, the exam dates for Part B test remains the same and is June 01 to 07, 2020.
The notice for IICD 2020 entrance test postponement released on the official website, iicd.ac.in. It is a very precise notice which says, “The entrance exam of IICD will be re-scheduled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The entrance exam for Part A will now not be conducted on April 12, 2020. New dates will be released by the end of April“.
Apart from the postponement of the exam, the registration for IICD 2020 entrance test has also been extended considering the hardship that a lot of students have been facing during the lockdown while trying to fill the form. The candidates can submit the application form until April 12, 2020. Earlier, the registration for IICD 2020 entrance test was supposed to end on March 20, 2020. Eligible candidates can fill the application form at iicd.ac.in.
For filling IICD entrance test, the candidates need to first register by providing the details like name, e-mail id, a password. Next, candidates have to login and fill the application form. To submit IICD entrance test 2020 application form, personal details, course details, address details etc have to be entered. Next step is to, upload the images of photograph and signature and pay the application fee.
When will IICD 2020 Entrance Test Admit Card Release?
Since, Part A of IICD 2020 entrance test has been postponed, the issuance of admit card for IICD 2020 has also been delayed. IICD 2020 entrance test was supposed to be issued by April 01, 2020 but considering the crisis happening due to the novel Coronavirus disease and its uprising number in the nation, the release of admit card for the exam has also been delayed. The dates for the release of the admit card will be out by the end of April.
IICD entrance test is conducted to offer admission in UG and PG courses. The candidates can take admission in courses like B.Des, M.Des, M.Voc. The entrance test consists of two parts; Part A is a General Awareness, Creativity and Perception Test and Part B is a Material Color and Conceptual Test. After these test, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the Personal Interview too. Part A is of 100 marks in total.
