Following group of candidates are allowed relaxation on their eligibility criteria when they apply for the seats allotted to them. The relaxation is applicable both in Mathematics and overall percentage.
- Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes: a relaxation of 10 percent on eligibility criteria for the reserved seats
- Kashmiri Migrant: a relaxation of 10 percent on the eligibility criteria for the reserved seats.
- Defence: a relaxation of 5 percent on eligibility criteria for the reserved seats
- Person with Disability(PwD): 5 percent on the eligibility criteria for the seats reserved
- OBC : a 5 percent relaxation on the eligibility criteria for the seats reserved.

IIIT-Delhi will be providing admission to various courses which is done through JAC Counselling, UCEED Counselling and IIIT-D Counselling. Details regarding admission procedure is given below.
JAC Delhi 2017
Joint Admission Counselling – IIIT Delhi will provide admission to B.Tech (CSE), B.Tech (ECE), B.Tech (CSAM), B.Tech (CSD) and B.Tech (ITSS) through JAC. This involves joint counselling for IIITD together with Delhi Technological Institute (DTU), Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
Candidates will get admission according to the merit list. Information about Joint Counselling will be posted from time to time on the counselling site. The joint counselling portal will be activated by mid-june.
UCEED – Admission to B.Tech(CSD) Delhi students for some seats depending upon the seat matrix will be done through UCEED the details of which is available in their website http://www.iitb.ac.in/uceed/2017/index.html.
B.Tech (ITSS) admission will be done through IIIT-Delhi admission process. For this admission is done through Class XII marks.
