IIMC Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Conditions
Academic Qualification -Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Those who have appeared/are appearing for a degree examination are also eligible to apply. If selected, their admission will be subject to their producing at least a provisional certificate in original from their college/university before 31 August 2020, failing which the provisional admission will stand cancelled.
Age Criteria – Candidate must have born after 01 August 1993 or later (for SCs/STs/PH, 01 August 1988 or later and for OBC, 01 August 1990 or later).
Nationality – Only Indian nationals are eligible.

This information is as per last year, candidate can either fill the application form online and also pay the fee online or download the application form, fill it and send on the given address.
Application process– You can either fill the application form using online at iimc.gov.in and pay the fee in online mode,
Note- The candidates would need to submit only one Application Form. one either for Journalism (Hindi) or the other for Journalism (English). because there is one common written test for these. Similarly, the candidates would have to submit one application form for either Journalism (Urdu)/Journalism (Oriya)/ Journalism (Marathi)/Journalism (Malayalam). The written entrance examination for these above courses was conducted simultaneously. Therefore, there was a separate form for each.

IIMC Entrance Exam 2020 Exam Pattern
The candidates will undergo a written test of 2 hours. The paper will be descriptive. Candidates usually get questions on ranging from current affairs to trending movies, review in a particular script to creating a short script at the moment. Questions may also have internal choices and candidate gets to pick the answer he wants to attempt. The questions are 15-20 marks each. And the total marks for the written test is 85 marks. The 15 marks are awarded for appearing and clearing interview. The candidates will be tested on the following parameters:
a) For Journalism Courses
i) General Awareness, including the understanding of social dynamics; interest in social history; awareness of public debates on matters of polity and economy; awareness about international developments influencing power equations in the world and their impact on India. ii) Aptitude & mental make-up, iii) language capability & iv) Analytical & comprehension skills.
b) For Advertising & Public Relations
i) General Awareness, ii) Aptitude & mental make-up, iii) Language capability, iv) Analytical & Comprehension skills, v) Brand awareness & recall and vi) Quantification skills.

IIMC Entrance Exam 2020 Selection Process
Candidates who appear in the written examination will be ranked on the basis of the marks obtained. A shortlist based on merit will be prepared for each of the courses (including a separate shortlist for the reserved seats in each course). The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview/group.
The list of candidates to be admitted to the courses will be prepared on the basis of the combined marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and in the interview /group discussion. The weightage for the written examination and the interview/group discussion will be 75:25.
