IISER Admission 2018 will be done on the basis of KVPY, JEE Advanced, and SCB. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research offers admission in 5 years Degree Programme of BS-MS. While JEE Advanced and KVPY are a national level examination, SCB is the only stream through which candidates get admission on the basis of entrance test conducted by IISER. In all, there will be around 1285 seats in the all the campuses of IISER.

IISER Admission 2018
IISER was established by Government of India and is aimed at being the IITs of basic science. In all, there are 7 IISERs in India and these are in – Kolkata, Pune, Mohali, Bhopal, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, and Berhampur. Through JEE Advanced

Candidates have to accept this offer by paying a Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). Candidates will be considered for float round only if they pay the SAF by this deadline.

KVPY Allotment
All candidates who accepted the offer and opted for float were considered for reallocation. The candidates with the following application numbers have been floated to an IISER of their higher preference. Please download your new offer letter from the application portal.

Note: Candidates who have already paid the SAF but haven’t yet registered will get a last chance to get registered by 5 pm on August 4, 2018, in the IISER allotted to them.
Failure to register within the above deadline will lead to cancellation of the offer and the usual refund policy of SAF will apply.
If you are interested to join, but it would not be possible for you to physically report by August 4, 2018, you can pay the difference of fee (Total fee – SAF) to the IISER you have been allotted within the deadline to retain your seat.

IISER 2018 Selection Process
IISER allows admission on the basis entrance examination, as well as, national level examinations. The mediums for admission have been explained below:
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced
- State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)
KVPY – It is an online aptitude test conducted by IISc Bangalore. It encourages the students towards the research in Science field. According to the score of the candidate in KVPY exam, the students will get selected for IISER Admission.

JEE Advanced – JEE Advance is the computer-based exam through which the candidates get admission in the undergraduate engineering courses, offered by IITs. On the basis of the score of JEE Advance, the candidates get selected for IISER admission.

SCB – The candidates who have passed class 12 will be able to apply for SCB. It is an aptitude test conducted by IISER. To get the admission on IISER, the candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in SCB.
IISER 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Latest:To get admission in IISER, the candidates will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria of these three exams.
JEE Advanced: Student securing at least 60% marks in class XII board exams and securing a place in JEE Advanced 2018 rank list for admission to IIT’s. Additional cut-off criteria may be applicable.
KVPY: The candidates who will have a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from the 2018-19 academic session will be eligible for IISER admission. For the admission, the additional cut-off may be applicable.
SCB: The eligibility criteria for SCB is given below.
- The candidates who have passed 12th with Science stream.
- Candidates who will appear and qualify in the ISER Aptitude Test.
- Additional cut-off criteria may be applicable.
- The candidates should have the marks according to the cut-off given below.

IISER 2018 Application Process
The candidates can check the application process details from below.
Application Fee: The application fee is non-refundable. The candidates can check the application fee category wise as per last year:
- For General/OBC-NCL Candidates – Rs. 2000/-
- For SC/ST/PWD/Kashmiri Migrants – Rs. 1000/-
Mode of Payment: The candidates can only make the payment online. There will be no other way to pay the application fee.
How to Apply?
IISER Application forms has been issued in online mode only. The candidates will have to go to the official website and then they have to fill the required credentials for the application. After filling up the details, they can submit the application form.
The candidates can apply for various programmes like JEE Advanced, KVPY, and SCB in various ways. Every programme will have its own online application portal and there will be different ways to fill the application form of different exams. The candidates are advised to go the official websites of the programmes and check the application process. The application portals will be open according to the forms availability dates.
IISER 2018 SCB Exam Pattern
The candidates can check the exam pattern of IISER SCB 2018 aptitude test below.
- The SCB Aptitude Test will be a multiple choice paper.
- The test will include four subjects, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with the equal weightage.
- There will be total 15 questions in each subject.
- The total number of questions will be 60.
- The time duration of the questions will be 180 minutes.
- 3 marks will be given to every correct answer.
- There will be negative marking of 1 mark on each wrong answer.
- If the candidate will not attempt any question then there will be no penalty.

IISER 2018 Syllabus for SCB

IISER 2018 Admit CardLatest:Latest:
IISER 2018 Admit Card will be issued in online mode only. The candidates will have to go to official website. Then they will have to login by entering the details email id, password, and captcha. Then they will get the admit card for IISER admission 2018. There will be the name, roll number, date of birth, exam center, photo, sign etc on the admit card. It is mandatory to carry the admit card while appearing for the exam. Without the admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
IISER 2018 Result
IISER 2018 Result will be declared in the month of July 2018. The candidates will be able to check the result by entering the roll number and registration id to login. The candidates will be able to check the result of the aptitude test SCB. The candidates who will score minimum qualifying marks will get their result. Those candidates will be able to get admission in IISER. For JEE Advanced the result will be announced for the three subjects combined. The JEE Advanced rank will be based on the marks obtained in JEE. The KVPY result and cut-off will be released by Indian Institute of Science. The cut-off will be made according to the minimum qualifying marks and obtained marks of the candidate.
IISER 2018 Counseling
The candidates who will get minimum qualifying marks in SCB will be able to appear in the counseling process. The candidates will get the seats in IISER Institutes according to their score in SCB. The seat allocation process will start in the month of July 2018. The candidates will have to appear for the counseling to get admission in IISER.
