IMU CET Counselling 2019: The counselling for IMU CET 2019 qualified candidates shall take place in the month of June right after the result declaration. Candidates need to bring the required original documents along with their photocopies for the verification process. As per the last year decision of the Executive Council, IMU’s Online Counselling shall be restricted to admissions to seats in IMU’s Campuses only. Only those candidates who have qualified the IMU CET for the following academic year will be able to attend the offline counselling sessions. The University will release the cut off list for the candidates and as per the requirement, candidates will be allotted the seat in their desired programme in any of the campus. NOTE: Candidates will be required to pay Rs.10,000/- (Non-refundable to those candidates who have been allocated a seat in any one of the lists) for registering for the Online Counselling of IMU.

General Instructions

  • Online Counselling will be limited to admissions to IMU Campuses only. Online Counselling will not cover Admissions to Affiliated Institutes. Detailed Instructions for Online Counselling will be available in the Portal.
  • Online Counselling is the process which happens in two phases:
  • Phase-1: IMU-CET qualified Candidates will be provided a portal through which they can select the Programme(s) and the Campus(s) where they desire to take admission. Candidates have to register on this portal by making Online payment of Rs. 10,000/- towards Counselling Fee.
  • The Candidate should choose multiple options in the order of their preference for:
    • Programmes based on fulfillment of eligibility conditions and IMU Campuses where desired Programmes are being conducted.
  • Phase–II: Based on the Rank, Social Category of the Candidate and availability of seats, a seat will be allotted provisionally to the Candidate from the list of options provided by them.
  • After allotment of seat the Candidate will be required to confirm the seat by paying the Programme Fee of Rs. 25,000/- (Non-refundable).
  • Candidates who confirm their seat will be issued with the Provisional Allotment Letter which has to be produced at the time of verification of original mark sheets and certificates, physical fitness certificate, etc. on the date mentioned in the Letter.
  • Candidates who fail to confirm by the due date will be treated as drop out and will not be considered for subsequent Admission Lists for upgradation or seat allotment due to dropouts.

Reservation of Seats

For UG Courses 

  • 15% of the total seats available to Indian Nationals are reserved for eligible candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe and 27% for OBC- NCL and 10% for General-EWS..
  • There is 5% Reservation of seats for Persons with Disability (PwD) in BBA Programmes.
  • There is Reservation of seats in U.G courses in IMU Campuses for students from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands, Eight North Eastern States (including Sikkim) and Jammu & Kashmir.

The maximum number of seats reserved for ‘Special States’ in a given Academic Year for the U.G Programmes put together in all IMU Campuses are as follows:

  • Andaman and Nicobar Islands – 20 seats
  • Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands – 10 seats
  • Eight North Eastern States (including Sikkim) – 40 seats
  • Jammu and Kashmir – 10 seats

NOTE: The allocation of seats for candidates from the above mentioned ‘Special States’ except Andaman & Nicobar Islands, will be done after publication of the Second List based on the residual seats if any.

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST will be required to produce in support of the claim, a certificate, in original, as per the form given in information brochure from the District Magistrate or any other officer who has been designated by the State Government concerned as competent authority to issue such certificate of the District in which his parents (or surviving parent or if there are no surviving parents, he/himself she/herself) ordinarily reside at the time of Certificate Verification.
  • The OBC candidates (non-creamy layer) will be required to produce original OBC (NCL) certificate issued by a Competent Authority, with the validity of three years as on 01.08.2019, as per the form prescribed in information brochure at the time of Certificate Verification.

For PG Courses
