JAC Chandigarh Spot Round Counselling 2017 will be held web based. The only difference between Spot round and other three rounds of Counselling will be that the candidates will be required to pay the seat acceptance fee before the allotment. Important Dates for Spot Round Counselling
|Display of vacant seats for SPOT Round||8 th August, 2017 by 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)|
|SPOT round choice submission and locking (candidates who do not deposit fee or who are p.m. not allotted seat upto 3rd round are required to pay online spot round participation fee of ₹40,000/-)||10th August – 12th August, 2017 till 5:00 pm|
|SPOT round of seat allotment||14th August 2017 by 7:00 p.m. (Monday)|
|Physical reporting, Documents verification and payment of balance fee (wherever applicable) at the allotted Institutes (for newly admitted/shifted candidates after the SPOT Round)||16th August 2017 (Wednesday)|
Choice Filling for JAC Chandigarh Spot Round 2017
SPOT round is also Web based Counselling. The only difference between SPOT round and other three rounds of Counselling is that for participating in SPOT round of Counselling, the candidate is required to pay ₹ 40,000/- as participation fee before the seat is allotted to him or her. If seat is allotted, participation fee will not be refunded. If seat is not allotted, participation fee will be fully refunded.
All registered candidates who have paid Registration Fee, irrespective of whether any seat is allotted or not, upto 3rd round of Counselling are eligible for SPOT round of Counselling against the available vacant seats.
Those candidates, who are admitted and have physically reported after 3rd round of Counselling and do not wish to participate in SPOT round, will not be considered for seat allocation. Howsoever, he/she will be considered for category upgradation. Their earlier admitted seat after third round will be retained in the same branch and in the same institute. This category upgradation will not be applicable for candidates who have been allotted a branch under EWS category.
Who is Eligible?
- All registered candidates who have paid Registration Fee, irrespective of whether any seat is allotted or not, upto 3rd round of Counselling are eligible for SPOT round of Counselling against the available vacant seats.
- Those candidates, who did not report physically at finally allotted institute after 3rd round as well as provisionally admitted candidates at Institutes after 3 rd round (if they wish) are eligible in the SPOT round of counselling. All candidates who have registered themselves by paying registration fee are eligible for SPOT round of counseling.
Vacancy due to not-reporting at allotted institutes and withdrawal candidates after third round will be compiled and published on the website. All vacancies, inclusive of the virtual ones (i.e. those created while running the SPOT round seat allotment), would be considered for seat allotment.
