How To Calculate Score Using JEE Advanced Answer Key 2019
Here are some important points to note to calculate the score using the JEE Advanced Answer Key 2019:
- The marking of the exam is available at the start of each section in the question paper.
- The marking scheme is different for all the sections
- The candidates must note the same and must use the scheme to calculate the scores of each section.
- As per the marking scheme the candidate has to add marks for the correct answer and subtract marks for the wrong ones.
- They are thus left with the estimated score at the end.

- Paper 1 of JEE Advanced 2019 has a total of 54 questions
- There were 3 sections in the paper – Physics, Chemistry, and Maths
- Each part has 18 questions.
- The total marks in paper 1 are 186
There were 3 types of questions in paper 1, for all of them the marking scheme is different. the same is made available below:
MCQ questions with only 1 option correct: The marking scheme for such questions are:
- For a correct answer, candidates get +3
- and for a wrong one they get -1
MCQ questions with 1 more than 1 option correct: The marking scheme for such questions are:
- +4: if all the options are chosen are correct
- +3: If all the 4 options are correct but the candidate has chosen 3 out of them
- +2: If 3 or more options are correct and the candidate has chosen only 2 and both are correct
- +1: If more than 2 options are correct and the candidate has chosen only 1 and which is a correct answer.
- -1: In all other cases
Questions where the answers are a numerical value: The marking scheme for such questions are:
- +3 for the correct answers
- no negative marking

How To Challenge The JEE Advanced Answer Key 2019
The candidates can challenge the JEE Advanced Answer key if they think the answers in the answer key are incorrectly marked. Candidates can refer the steps below to challenge the answers in the key:
- The candidates have to login into their JEE Advanced 2019 account using their application number and password.
- The candidates can then apply for the challenge.
- For each challenge, the candidates have to submit a sum of Rs. 500/-.
JEE Advanced 2019 Optical Response Sheet (ORS)
The response sheets of the candidates are made available under their login and via the email id of the candidates that they have registered while filling the application form. The JEE Advanced 2019 response sheet has the answers of the candidates that they have marked on the day of the exam on the computer for both paper 1 and 2.
The candidates have to use this response sheet to cross-check their answers from the answer key. The answer key has all the correct answers and the response sheet has all the answers as you have marked in the exam. JEE Advanced 2019 Result
JEE Advanced 2019 Result is declared online under the candidate’s login. The result has the marks in both the paper of the exam and the overall score. As per the marks of the candidates in JEE Advanced, the All India Rank is decided and merit list for admission is released. However, qualifying JEE Advanced 2019 does not guarantee admissions in IITs. A candidate can secure a seat only after various rounds of counselling and allocation process.
