How To Calculate Score Using JEE Main 10 Jan 2019 Question Paper with Answer Key

In order to get the rough idea about the marks secured, candidates should know the marking scheme of the entrance examination. For each correct answer, add 04 marks and as there shall be negative marking as well he/she needs to deduct 01 marks for an incorrect answer. After calculating the total number of right and wrong answers, candidates are required to multiply the correct answers with 04. No marks shall be deducted for an unattempted question. Thereafter, candidates shall get the rough idea of the marks scored. Candidates are advised to wait for the JEE Main 2019 Result which is scheduled to be announced on January 31, 2019, to get to know about the exact scores.

Qs 1. There was this one question in the Physics section in which a Capacitor was given, there was 3 mm difference between the 2 and it was divided into 3 columns. k2 and k3 were constant and their value was given. Find equivalent capacitance.

Qs 1. There was a question in which the mass of a solution was given and the candidates had to find the number of moles?

Qs 2. Another question was from the Structure of Atoms. The stuents had to find the radius of the atom 0.0529 n^2/z

Qs 1. In the Physics section, there were two rods and two balls. the mass of rod and ball was m1 and m2 and radius of ball were given as. The students had to find the moment of inertia

JEE Main 10 Jan Shift 2 Analysis: 

  • One student reported there was a technical glitch. Some time wasted as the student had to change the system 3 times. However, the time was compensated as the student was given some extra-time.
  • Many students said that there were repeated questions from previosu year papers.
  • Students have said that there were numerical questions from the Electrostatistics, and there were more number of questions from Organic chemistry
  • 2 questions from Mechanics.
  • There were 6-7 questions from Hyperbola and Parabola in the Mathematics section and one question from Ellipse.
  • There were questions from Molarity and Mole fraction and Co-ordination compounds in the Chemistry section
  • In the Physics section, majority of questions were from Electrostatics.
  • Majority of questions were asked from Calculus, which were a bit tricky to solve.
  • One of the student commented that if a student is well-versed with NCERT then he/she can score good marks in JEE Main exam.
  • Questions Asked in the Mathematics section – Vector, Trigno, 3-D geometry, Determinants, Matrices.
  • In the Chemistry section, there were questions from Organic chemistry
  • In mathematics, there were questions from Combination and Co-ordinate geometry
  • Mathematics was easy but it was time-consuming in the Physics section, there were two rods and two balls. the mass of rod and ball was m1 and m2 and radius of ball was given as. The students had to find the moment of inertia.
  • Students have said that there were few questions from Mechanics and more from Optics. Quiet opposite of Shift 1.
  • Exam conducted by NTA was difficult in comparison to JEE Main earlier conducted by CBSE.
  • Chemistry was easy for JEE Main 10 Jan 2019 exam
  • In the mathematics section, questions from Integral topic was difficult.
  • Physics was moderate to difficult, two questions were asked from Electrostatics

JEE Main 10 Jan Shift 1 Analysis: 

  • The expected cut off after JEE Main 10 Jan 2019 Shift 1 is between 85-105
  • The overall difficulty level of the exam was Moderate.
  • In the Physics section, there were 4-5 questions from Mechanics and 2-3 from Optics.
  • Physics was completely numerical based
  • One question was asked from Aldehydes.
  • There was one question from Integration in Mathematics which was easy.
  • In the Chemistry section, one question was asked from the Partial Pressure.
  • In Mathematics, there were 1-2 questions from Circles.
  • Mathematics was a bit lengthy which took up a lot of time for the students.
  • Equal distribution of Organic and Inorganic questions in the Chemistry section
  • First few questions in the Physics section were Moderate. Some out of the syllabus questions were also in this section.
  • In comparison to CBSE, the students said that the difficulty level was high for NTA JEE Main 2019.
  • In the Mathematics section, 4-5 questions were from Trigonometry
  • In the Physics section, maximum questions were from Magnetism.
  • Magnetism and Current were topics covered in the Physics Section
  • Question on Parabola was in the Mathematics section.
  • In the chemistry section, one question was copied from the NCERT and was in the JEE Main exam. The Chemistry paper was from NCERT only.
  • There were 4 questions from the Conic Section in the Mathematics Section. Few questions were also available from Parabola
  • Chemistry was easy as per some students; Physics was Moderate, and Mathematics was Difficult.
  • Overall, maximum questions were asked from Class 12th syllabi.
  • Many students have been commenting that the Paper was lengthy and it was neither too easy nor too difficult.
